Re: Symptoms - Burning sensation
Thanks for the references and advice - very helpful. What I refer to as spasms, are involuntary leg movements so I guess PLMS. The burning is separate and seems to come deep within my muscles. I'm an avid exerciser so there seems to be some correlation to changes in my exercise routine but I can nev...

Symptoms - Burning sensation
Has anyone encounters these symptoms? Are they typicial of RLS? 1. I sometimes have a burning sensation in my legs and hips. My skin actually feels warm. Using a cold compress gives some relief. It feels like my skin is inflamed. (I've been checked and do not have arthristis.) The feeling goes along...

jul2873, Thanks so much. I just looked at their site. Is there a reason you buy the crushed leaves rather than the powder? Laura

Re: Kratom is working for me
I have never heard of this but it seems worth a try. Are you allowed to say where you buy it? I'm afraid of mail ordering from just any place on the web. Also, can you give approx cost and how much to order at a time? Thanks...

I've just joined the group after being diagnosed this year at age 59. I almost started to cry in the doctor's office. Someone finally took me seriously. I was taking a ton of ibuprofen which prompted me to follow through w/ my Primary. After 2 years, a reumotologist listened to me and made a diagnos...

Re: Pain in hip
I've had hip pain for years. I take ibuprofen. I had the hip pain many years before having more severe symptoms (leg spasms at night) and being diagnosed. I'm on Requip now but still feel it in my hips - just don't take nearly as much Ibuprofen. I haven't seen anyone else taking IB which is curious.

Re: First time seeing a neurologist
Thank you all for your thoughtful replies. I need to think about what you've said and prepare for my followup on May 18th which it sounds like is a good idea. I will use the Clinical Management book as a basis for discussion. BTW, I live in Sarasota FL. I will write something on the intro page for n...

First time seeing a neurologist
I was just diagnosed in Jan 2015 by a reumotologist (bc my primary couldn't figure it out.) He put me on ropinirole and it's taken away my leg spasms at night and for 2 months, the aching pain during the day. I just saw a neurologist for the aching pain. He told me that RLS didn't occur during the d...
