Re: Sleep monitor
Here are some observations on my sleeping patterns. Most nights I have three sleep cycles or less. Normal is four or five 90-minute cycles. Normal pattern is for the first deep sleep period to be the longest of the night and subsequent deep sleep periods shorter. I never have that pattern. A normal ...

Re: Sleep monitor
Well, after two more weeks of experimenting with various sleep tracker apps, I'm near to actually starting to use the data to help evaluate my sleeping in relation to medication dosing. I have used a bunch of the Sleep apps, using either their determination of deep sleep or correlating it with heart...

I take Cymbalta, has theoretical risk of worsening RLS, doesn't for me.

Re: Kratom is working for me
I managed to get off of mirapex when I was augmenting at 0.375mg using primarily kratom. However I was on a much lower dose and my augmentation was not terribly severe. Even so , the process was pure torture and if at all possible you will be able to tolerate the process much better if you can get y...

Re: What Severe RLS is Like
EeFall, I'm sorry I don't remember your medication history, have you tried morphine or methadone? Both are very inexpensive if you can get them and can tolerate the side effects.

Re: Kratom is working for me
I've been taking Kratom for about 6 weeks, in lieu of 150 mg Lyrica and Seratame that I had been taking since my Mirapex withdrawal last December. The Lyrica/Seratame combination allowed for a decent night sleep with only about an average of one hour/night of RLS disruptions/lost sleep..... RLS has...

Re: Kratom is working for me
There are lots of folks who use kratom here, but most also require another med to get satisfactory control of their symptoms. If you bought your kratom from one of the vendors recommended on this board you probably have the good stuff.

Re: Gabapentine vs Clonazpem
Call either doctor and ask that doc to phone the other and discuss which med is best for you. I'm a retired doc and this is done frequently. There are lots of knowledgeable people on this board that can give you general pros and cons of each med, but can't help much in this situation.

Re: Sleep monitor
Well, most of the sleep tracker apps actually don't work very well. After 10 days or so of trying different sleep tracking apps I have found that their measurement of deep sleep is extremely inaccurate, and don't correlate well with each other nor how I feel during the daytime. There is fairly good ...

I'm glad for you, they didn't help me much. I also tried vibrating pillow (helped a bit) and vibrating calf wraps (also provided a little relief). If you are able to do ok without medicine, you are very lucky, and stay off medicine as long as possible.

Hmmm. Makes me wonder if I should try cutting my MM dose. I take 10-20mg per day, doing very well, but don't want depression UGH. Many people use 50mg or more and I was thinking that 20mg was a modest dose, but maybe not.

Re: Leg cramping in early morning and tingling in hands and feet
Lots of causes of this, but not likely nerve damage, RLS, or the medications you list. Lipitor and other cholesterol meds commonly cause this, as do kidney problems, some other meds and various hormone and electrolyte problems. Just tell your doctor what you feel. Some vitamin deficiencies can cause...
