Re: Getting used to Lyrica

Luckily I'm working with a doctor at Mayo who will prescribe opioids. We have discussed the possibility that Lyrica won't work for me and then we would move onto opioids. In the meantime, I might try to get some kratom as suggested. I am so reluctant to add back any pramipexole at this time as I jus...

Re: Getting used to Lyrica

The problem at night is that my jumpy legs break through the Lyrica and I have to get up and move about. I do feel like a zombie especially at night when I have to get up and move (climb stairs, stationary bike riding). I have no problem going to sleep or getting back to sleep, which is thanks to th...

Getting used to Lyrica

I have just successfully transitioned from pramipexole and Neupro to Lyrica. Yay! I transitioned because of augmentation and impulse control disorder. Had quite a few sleepless nights but I think the Lyrica helped - that and some CBD:THC (4:1) vaping. I am currently on 200 mg and will have to increa...

Re: Effectiveness of Neupro patch

I tried to transition from pramipexole to Neupro because of augmentation and impulse control disorder. However, even at 6 mg Neupro patches, I still could not reduce my dose of pramipexole lower than 0.5 mg. Within a month I was augmenting again, symptoms earlier in the day and it was in my arms. Wh...

Re: Lyrica

I'm so glad that Lyrica has worked for you. Have you had any side effects from the Lyrica? I also just started one week ago after getting off pamiprexole and Neupro and am titrating my dose. I am currently on 200 mg/day, 100mg taken 12 hours apart. I may have to go up to 300 mg as I still feel it in...

Re: Medical Marijuana

With the help of Lyrica, I am starting to wean off pramipexole and Neupro because of augmentation and impulse control disorders. However, my starting dose of Lyrica (as I titrate up) definitely is not strong enough. I was up most of the night last night. I have some MM that is CBD dominant, 4:1 CBD:...

Re: I'm new here!

Ferritin is 149 as of last Friday. Last time I tried DA withdrawal (cold turkey), I was totally miserable even with the gabapentin, tramadol and oxazepam. I slept for maybe an hour a night for 4 nights and then restarted pramipexole because my husband and I were going on vacation and needed to sleep...

Re: I'm new here!

Rest of message (sorry) I am reluctant to try Lyrica because of the side effect of weight gain (again) and my mother took it and felt so depressed on it. She and I react similarly to medication. I have a strong family history of RLS. My question is: when I go to Mayo on Thursday, what are my options...

Re: I'm new here!

My latest ferritin is 149 - definitely on the upswing. I have an appointment with my Mayo doctor this Thursday to discuss my medication options. I am currently at 6 mg Neupro patches and still have to add 0.375 of pramipexole to get any sleep. Just last night I noticed it in my arms again. I have tr...

Re: Relaxis

I tried it while transitioning from one drug to another and it did not help at all. The company was very helpful though. Gave me tips about different ways to use it, but to no avail. I ended up returning it for a complete refund of my money.

Re: I'm new here!

Thank you all for your very helpful replies. The idea that I may still be augmented is fascinating to me and is something I will bring up to my Mayo doctor. She is indeed from the Center for Sleep Medicine at Mayo in Rochester. We discussed IV iron. She wanted to wait until I finished a 3 month cour...

I'm new here!

Hi! I am 67 and have had RLS for about 30 years. My mom and older sister also have it. I started on Gabapentin, but didn't like the fog and I gained a lot of weight. Then tried several sleeping pills and finally chlorazepam, which I really disliked. I felt like I was moving through peanut butter. Th...
