Yeah, levator ani syndrome pretty much nails my symptoms. At least i thought so until yesterday when i passed what looked like blood clots in a bowel movement. I called my specialist and the nurse said if that happens again go straight away to the hospital. I guess u Aiken, have the other type, Proc...

snowbound-- Just curious... which levator muscle are you having trouble with? There are quite a few all over the body. (I have trouble with one of them myself, deep in my pelvis. Can be quite painful.) Levator ani. I think u are speaking of the same? The doctors aren't sure yet but i'ts one of the ...

I sometimes worry that others will believe that what happened to me WILL happen to them. I'm one of them. I'd just know to stop it the FIRST day I felt I had augmented. I wouldn't wait, I'd just stop. I will be remembering this for sure if i get to the point where meds are needed. Thanks for postin...

Wow, i really feel for u Ann and the others here who have tried different medications to help either the RLS symptoms or some other movement disorder and paid a huge price because of augmentation. That is my biggest fear. Terrible and unfair result surely for just trying to find relief from these aw...

Thanks Zach. The pregnancy thing makes sense as an underlying factor or as u mentioned major organ failure or transplant.

Does your's ever go into remission? When mine does, as i mentioned, it is a much welcomed break.

RLS going away, never to return

I'm curious, has anyone here ever seen or heard of a case of RLS suddenly going away and not returning? Once and a while my RLS symptoms almost dwindle down to nothing for a short while(sometimes 2 weeks, no meds involved) but i always know it will ramp up again in time so i enjoy the time when symp...

Thanks all, i went to see the doctor yesterday. There are a number of issues medical wise needing to be treated. One is an over active bladder. He prescribed Detrol LA 4mg's for this. He wants me to hold off on the muscle relaxers as he said Detrol relaxes the bladder and my aid in doing the same th...

Thanks,

i will be sure to post what and if the doctor prescribes. Anytime i start any new meds for other ailments i'm always very worried how the RLS will react. Treating one issue and possibly aggravating another is very frustrating to say the least...

Hi, i have also read about virtual colonoscopies and it looked interesting. I also ran across a video that could eliminate the traditional cleansing preparation prior to colonoscopy, "Colonoscopy Preparation using Colon Hydrotherapy" m This procedure takes place just before the colonoscopy...

Muscle relaxants

Hi all, i may have to start taking a muscle relaxant soon for a levator problem. I'm not sure what my doctor will prescribe. Maybe flexeril or something like that. Has anyone here had experience with prescribed muscle relaxant meds? Why i ask is i'm concerned how my RLS will react to these medicatio...
