David, sorry for your suffering.

I am glad you are getting some relief. It does sound to me like a high dose of requip. your symptoms must be way crazy. Others who know more than me will respond with advice, I have found this site to be a saviour.

Oh Zach, I am so sorry for your troubles. I think Aiken makes some really good points. Please get help. I am glad you are going back to counselling, and your doc sounds like an understanding OK guy.

Hi Broker, I empathise with you in your present sleep pattern. I use requip and on a good night I get 5 hours, usually 4 hours, sometimes 2 hours, this includes using Ambien and a little codeine. If you had something good going, why change, obviously your doc isn't walking the floors....

Sorry about all the difficulties some of you are having.

Looks like we are fortunate here, we don't have your fabulous hot summers, we are lucky to hit 24 centigrade in a heat wave !! but neither do we have the extremes in either summer or winter.

Take care all you folks.

WAM, taking offence didn't even cross my mind. We do confuse most people. On the one hand, we are part of the island of Ireland, and happy to be part of the Emerald Isle, but we are in fact part of the UK, we are just not on the mainland. And boy, does this give us difficulties!! Most times when on ...

Hi Moraine, I am sorry you are suffering so much. Whether or not it is rls that you have, we can sympathise with your distress. I have rls 24/7 but have some control and relief with medications, not an option in your case now that you are pregnant. Congratulations on your pregnancy. Others with more...

Eliza, it's great to get away for a 'break'. I have seen these chairs advertised before in the media. I could see how relieving the tension on the back of the thighs may help rls symptoms cos I find lying on my 'front' is easier. Hmm... worth thinking about. I'd love to hear if anyone has found them...

Yeah... hmmmm.... orange/green. When I said I didn't 'do' a lot of green, I meant it's cos the colour doesn't do much for me... Having said that orange isn't particularly flattering on me either!!! Yeah, Susan, I suppose N.Ireland is traditionally thought of as orange... but quite honestly altho mos...

Hi Scarlett - I also use the thrift stores and pick up excellent bargains.

WAM - sorry, I don't do a lot of green, but I do use a lot of linen, which was our national industry - before it started being made in far east.

I should add that the reason the earrings are hanging from a chopstick is because I have just painted them with the pink nail polish and they are 'hanging out to dry'.

Making Do

I'm feeling pretty pleased with myself. I am going to a few functions over the next couple of months and wanted something new to wear. Smart ,not too dressy but more so that smart casual. One is the 50th birthday party of an ex work colleague of my husband and I will me meeting lots of people for th...
