Re: Stressless Chairs
As far as RLS, anytime I relax there is a chance it will kick off symptoms. But what am I to do, jumping jacks all evening? That's funny (not symptoms while relaxing). I pretty much do jumping jacks all evening until I start on my meds. I can't sit down to relax in the evening and can spend very li...

Wow, that's really terrible. Glad you had the wherewithal to phone a friend to drive you to the ER and are now safely home.

Re: MCV and MCHC levels
Several years ago my GP told me to take liquid vitamin B as it absorbs better (according to him). Some brands taste awful but Better You B12 Boost oral spray is pretty good. It's a British brand.

Re: Feb 21: Patron saint of insomniacs!
Thanks, I've made a note of St. Peter Damian. Back in 2014 I posted about who I thought could be a patron saint for RLS people. After looking on line I found the perfect saint for us. Saint Bartholomew the Apostle He's the patron saint against neurological disease and against twitching. He was flaye...

And if the other country has socialised medicine you would likely come against other road blocks. No system is perfect.
Also, at least in New Zealand you need to be under a certain age and retirement age isn't it.

The side effects of the second vax are supposed to be worse but it shows it's working.

That is so bad—punishing you for having a condition that can be controlled with medication they don't like!

Re: Attempting to get off Ropinirole - again
That’s a real shame that you had to leave your GP of 45 years and that your new one is not clued up on treating severe RLS. Phone consults are not optimal between a doctor with a new patient. There’s no way to detect facial clues or body language. Phone consultations are usually fine between establi...

"Ask Dr. Jo" is a very good on-line physical therapist. I've used her exercises for various things as well as visiting a physio in person when able.

Re: New member seeking advice
I don't know if my RLS makes me wake up or if I wake up anyway and have symptome—a chicken and egg thing but every night, two, three or four times a night I wake up with painful RLS and the longer I try to fight it and stay in bed the worse it gets until I get up and take another 60mg codeine (only ...

Re: Vibrating Platform
Next door to my business some years ago was a fraudulent exercise company (Trim and Fit) that was supposed to take inches off your body. You stood on a vibrating pad and attached straps around your hips etc. The only one who actually got any exercise benefit from that company was our receptionist wh...

For a while I thought Voltaren Emugel (contains Diclofenac) helped but gradually realised it didn't or no longer did. A shame because, like most of us, I am always grasping at straws to help the blasted rls.

Good luck! You can't impress the anesthesiologist enough that you are very sensitive to anesthetics.
Best wishes for a good recovery.
