Re: A Statagy for Fixing Me - My Visit to a RLS/Apnea Guru

Hi EeFall, I'm so sorry that sleep is still such a problem. Have you ever tried L-theanine? I think it's the ingredient in green tea. All I know is that it really does help me sleep. D-robose seems to help as well. Both of these are just supplements and--for me anyway, don't cause any side effects. ...

Re: A Statagy for Fixing Me - My Visit to a RLS/Apnea Guru

Hey EeFall, We know you have a lot of self-control. You used it every day when you were going off all those meds and getting no sleep. So you are going to have to use all your self-control a bit longer to figure this out. Just because you feel angry doesn't mean you have to act angry. Could you keep...

Re: Poppy seed tea - incredibly effective for me

I'll just add that, along with Erica, I find Kratom more effective than the poppy seed tea. I've been using the Malaysian and Indonesian green vein and the Sumatra white vein. I usually take a total of about 3-4 grams in small doses, from about 6 p.m. on through the night (Usually about .7 of a gram...

Re: I would just like to vent and also ask some questions..

Hi, I am so sorry that you are going through this, and you're so young. But instead of being terrified by "chronic" look at it this way. There is a good deal of exciting research going on, and the researchers are finding new avenues to explore. For example, Johns Hopkins has a study going ...

Re: RLS or Separate Condition?

I know this is from left field, but when my levels of vitamin D get low, I get daytime sleepiness. The medications may have stripped your body of vitamin D. I need over 1000 units of it a day to prevent sleepiness. D-Ribose (a supplement available on Amazon) also seems to help. Anyway, couldn't hurt...

Re: A Statagy for Fixing Me - My Visit to a RLS/Apnea Guru

It's important not to panic, EeFall. I'll be going along great and then, out of the blue, have a really lousy night too. I figured out that, for me, when I panic because I don't go to sleep fairly quickly, then it all snowballs on me. I think stress is the killer. You've been sleeping well; that mea...

Re: Article on Kratom

A little update here: I bought a gram scale to see how much kratom powder I was taking. It turns out the 1/2 a teaspoon equals .8 of a gram. So I am taking less kratom in a powder form than I was in capsule form. Each capsule is .6 of a gram, and I needed four of those before I went to bed, plus 6 m...

Re: Article on Kratom

Hi Erika, I've only been taking Kratom for about four months. Really, my RLS/WED only got very bad about two years ago. I'm sorry you've been dealing with it for so long, and you're so young. I'm feeling a little tired in the mornings as well. I'm not sure if it's because the kratom makes me tired, ...

Re: Nice to find you. I have had RLS for forty five yrs

My daughter had years of stomach aches, different kinds of pain, fatigue etc. She was diagnosed with various things, one being fibromyalgia. Then about two years ago her doctor suggested she stop eating dairy and gluten for a couple of weeks and see if that helped. Oh my heavens. I asked her when sh...

Re: Article on Kratom

Hi Badnights, There is an article on wikipedia that talks about the composition of kratom: m but I'm afraid it's all over my head. I do know that I don't get any high from it at all. If I take a good deal--which only happens when I'm flying--then I noticed that I do feel a nice sense of well-being. ...

Re: Article on Kratom

Hi Erika, If I remember, I also take 2 capsules of L-Tyrosine, and some d-ribose. I am also using the powder now, and it does seem to be more effective. So far, I like the Green leaf one, but I'm really just starting to experiment. I usually take .5 tsp around 8 or 9, and then another .5 tsp right b...
