You can change the font size on most Windows pages by holding down the CTRL key and hitting the + key. Hitting the "-" key makes the font go down.
Gotta a Mac but quite similar. Thanks.

Re: Gabapentin post cancer op

I'm currently on 10 mg oxy a day and recovering from my 2nd cancer operation (lobectomy). It's not quite enough but Doc won't go higher dose. He suggested I go on Requip. I believe I tried that before without result. Any thoughts? I don't want to stop the 10mg oxy. I hope the recovery is going well...

Re: Gabapentin isn't effective.

Neither of these drugs would be understood to cause augmentation. Your dose of 3,000 gabapentin, I think, would be quite high. It's possible that pregabalin may work better as it is more consistent in how it is absorbed. Have your discussed with your doctor the possibility of increasing your oxycod...

Re: Gabapentin isn't effective.

Oh, ok. So Gabapentin doesn't augment. That's good to hear, I think. I haven't spoken to my GP yet. I'll send a message tomorrow. This afternoon wasn't pleasant - I took 5mg oxy. Is 300mg of pregabalin the same as 300mg of Gabapentin. The reason I ask is the cost of pregabalin - $14 for a 90 supply ...

Gabapentin isn't effective.

My 3,000 mg of gabapentin daily isn't very effective of late. I don't know if this is augmentation or not. My GP put me on 5mg daily of oxycodone (30 to cover the month) at my request but it's not enough. My symptoms are starting earlier, around 2:30 in the afternoon instead of 5 or 6. 600 mg of gab...

Re: Gabapentin post cancer op

What's annoying is I have 30 oxys to last 30 days. But on occasion (rare) I need one to treat the pain from my operation. So the prescription doesn't quite go the whole month. But hey, we are doing our part to prevent addiction.

Re: Gabapentin post cancer op

Here's how last night went: 5mg oxy yesterday around 3pm. Forgot gabapentin dose until midnight (my fault) when symptoms set in. Did catchup on gaby. Sleep at 2am. Woke at 4am with bad symptoms. Tried an extra 1200 mg Gabapentin but didn't help. Finally took 5mg oxy at 6am and symptoms disappeared. ...

Re: Gabapentin post cancer op

Hey Steve, I sent a message to my GP about the iron deficiency but he ignored it focusing on another question I had in the same message. I remember mentioning iron to him a few years ago but he shrugged off the notion. I don't think he's an iron fan. I read that the dose for iron for RLS sufferers i...

Re: Gabapentin Withdrawal

I'm on 1,000mg gabapentin and wanted to increase it. My GP said it could mess with my brain. I believed her and have stuck with 1,000mg at 7.45pm, going to bed around 10.30. It has helped me a lot. I also take two x 60mg codeine in split dose before bed and during the night. For the first time in d...

Re: Gabapentin post cancer op

Often with surgery, you lose enough blood that your ferritin levels drop to the point where your RLS gets worse. Have your GP do iron tests, including ferritin, and hopefully you will be low enough that they can justify giving you an iron infusion. In the meantime, taking an oral iron supplement ca...

Gabapentin post cancer op

Hey guys, I was diagnosed last fall with stage 4 stomach cancer. I went on the chemo pill in Dec and operated on in April - stomach tumor out, spleen out, tip of pancreas out, liver smooth and ok. Pathology reports said no cancer cells detected so we all celebrated that big time! Feeling great but s...
