Re: RLS, Depression and Anti-depressants
Rustsmith/Steve, I'm curious as to why you can't take an AD and if so, which ones you tried that activated the RLS or insomnia. I would opt for tramadol, but I have tried it and got sick as a dog. I do some exercise ie walking, swimming, stationary or regular biking which helps a LOT. However, I can...

Re: RLS, Depression and Anti-depressants
I am happy to report that I got the heel surgery in June and the doctor did one FANTASTIC job. No more scooter!!!! Likewise, Dr. Ondo has helped me get the sleep under control with an iron transfusion and decent medication so I am sleeping. The depression is not as chronic as 2018 when I had it for ...

Re: RLS, Depression and Anti-depressants
I have recently been needing an antidepressant, but can't find one that will work with my insomnia and RLS. The one I took 30 years ago was a tricyclic (pamelor) and I had a terrible time with sleep when getting off the medication. That was when my sleep was pretty darn good. And that drug is one of...

Inlfammation and RLS
I have been reading a few things that inflammation is tied to RLS. I eat a very clean diet, but have had an enormous amount of stressful events in my life and stress increases inflammation. Curious to know if anyone has looked into this possible link.

Re: new ideas for RLS
Update: Foot pain came back. Getting foot surgery this week. Thankfully, I'm on a great drug combo horizant and Balsomra where I am sleeping about 7-8 hours a night. The hormones still impact the RLS and sleep, but I don't think it' impacts it as much as I thought before. For me, I think stress is o...

Re: desiccated liver powder
They have desiccated liver pills that are much more convenient than the powder. I will be getting surgery this Thursday and have to be off ALL iron for 1 week. The desiccated liver has been a god send for helping me out. With meds, I'm sleeping good thanks to the desiccated liver. Also was able to i...

I had an increase in symptoms when withdrawing from gabapentin when using it regularly. I had to get off and now rotate it with other meds.

Re: new ideas for RLS
Ann, Now that is interesting: the correlation with the walking and the RLS. I continually watch how I walk and I still have minor feet pain, depending what I do, but it's a whole lot better!! for me, I think the RLS is lower due to me getting better coping skills with the stress. This would correlat...

new ideas for RLS
OK, I now belong to a my crazy health group and the lady who introduced me to this group cured herself of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. It was free so I joined. Here are some suggestions for the RLS Homeopathic iron - supposedly gets better distributed or perhaps digested Magnesium (which we all know ab...
