Re: Flu + RLS + constipation = torture
I love avocados and cantaloupe. In the past I only bought when prices were low—or at least not astronomical. Now I just buy them. I love the taste and the vitamin c and fiber are essential to me.

Re: Flu + RLS + constipation = torture
Sounds like your body knows what it needs. Maybe you'll stay off the sugars even after you're better Yes, I hope so too. But I have to add, I rarely ate ice cream and keep some in the freezer in the shed and have very small amounts of 72% chocolate a few times a week. I have a pretty good diet but ...

Re: Progress with my local doctor?
Steve, we are lucky to have an intelligent, well informed advocate for opiods for those who need them and don't/won't abuse them. In the past some docs gave out prescriptions for things like oxycodone like they were m&ms and addiction resulted in some cases but nobody can tell me any doctor is p...

Re: Sleep diary
I will upload my notes to the computer and give the print out to my doctor. He is wonderful and very compassionate but when I told him I was getting less than six hours sleep, night after night, said that's all he got. Yeah, but in one chunk or two, not in five chunks over eight or ten hours. On the...

Re: Flu + RLS + constipation = torture
Thanks, I'm on day 9, taking a 7 day course of a strong antibiotic and am getting better but I know it will still be a while. At least my constipation is under control, more or less. My favorite foods--ice cream, chocolate ets--are not attractive at all so I'm eating oatmeal with an All Bran garnish...

Sleep diary
I've kept sleep diaries in the past but I find it hard to write things down in the night, I'm just too wrung out or agitated. Last night I used "Notes" on my iPhone. I started by talking to Siri but switched to just keying my words in. A cellphone is easy to carry around while doing my wal...

Flu + RLS + constipation = torture
I'm in my fifth day of knock down, drag out influenza. Everyone who has had it knows you just want to stay in bed but our stupid legs prevent that. About three weeks ago my doctor prescribed iron so that added to my general constipation which I was able to keep under control, mostly with diet. It is...

Your new activities in a new life sound wonderful. It would be great if your political group could create fairer elections starting with eliminating gerimandering.

That's really funny. One of my first posts on this discussion board was "The lighter side of WED/RLS".

Re: Is it Only Me ?
Christmas can be very hard. Cliff and I loved it even though I still, after 31 years, have not got used to a southern hemisphere Christmas. We used to go for a long walk then have a special but not elaborate meal. With Cliff gone I might just go for the walk.

Best wishes for life in California. Nothing like sunshine to soothe the body and soul. It must have been so much fun giving away your art supplies and plants. Giving really is better than receiving.

I found Sinemet great for almost immediate relief in a movie, car or concert but I augmented on it very quickly when used daily. I confirm the Foundation's stand that it is not for daily use.

Re: Power Plate
I prefer to read, love reading, but if I need to learn how to fix something a video is better for me.
A sister loves to listen to books on tape, I can't stand them. On a long drive last summer she listened to one and I read a different book.

Re: Moving Mayhem
Nice story of giving your stuff to the young couple. They would have been over the moon to get it and probably still remember you fondly. In 1980 I bought a tiny (not like today's) house in Idaho for $40,000 and seven years later sold it for $40,000. I figured I'd had free rent for that time so I wa...
