I don't know what's going on but Lynn please know your are the heart and soul of this board. I don't know why your not moderating any more but it doesn't matter, it's not the word "moderator" that's important, it's the word "becat." Your passion is what makes you a leader / advoc...

Sorry to hear that, hopefully it'll get better. Maybe your dr would agree with a work out regimin. I started working out recently and started slowly and after you do it for a while it becomes a habit instead of a dread, lol.

Take care,

As usual, Views has the good scoop. It sounds like you have a great attitude to try and not start any drugs but at least you know that if that time comes when alternatives don't work, there is relief out there, that is if you can find the right combo of drugs and a good dr to treat you with them tha...

I'm probably in the minority (what a shock) but I made it a priority to make sure my family had health insurance while I was unemployed or under-employed for over 2 years a while back. I drive a 98 Honda Civic, don't have cable, and we rarely eat out but we still have fun, go figger! When I was unem...

I would def. try Dr. B since he's fairly close. Who knows, if he gets a good cocktail going for you then you'll need to see him every 6 months, not every 2 weeks. I delayed seeing a renowned specialist since I didn't want to mess with the drive, I sure do wish I could of taken back those years and b...

I hope this is not the specific ad in question. Consumer Reports is in the biz to be skeptical but this chick us just annoying and has her facts wrong. She said 3% of the US has RLS. What is misleading is that ANY drug has side effects and she makes it sound like there's a grand conspiracy here. We ...

RLS Boot

m (If this was already posted somewhere, please delete this, for I didn't see it.) This link is an article with video about a boot one can put on which simulates the sensations of having RLS. Brings new meaning to "if only they could walk in my shoes... I wish they could mass produce these thin...

I wish YouTube had a setting to turn off comments when you're logged in. The worst side of humanity is there for all to see.

There are still thousands of people who deny the Holocaust ever happened, there will always be bone-heads in society, I wouldn't let it get to you.

Welcome to the board Reb. I do hope that you can find relief soon. Have you seen a neurologist? There are meds out there to help most people with RLS and if you've had it that long, why wait another day? You deserve a good nights rest for sleep is so important to our health. Take care and thanks for...

Hang in there! We can all relate, more then you may know. I've read that there is no proof that RLS can lead to PD so that's ONE less thing to worry about! Good luck finding a neurologist, that seems to be what you need since you're dr doesn't know about RLS and how to treat your other health proble...

As bad as it was for some, at least we have our homes still. Plenty in shelters in the DFW area and looks like it'll be another week before most can even go home to see how much (or little) is left. Oh well, most people are safe and that's what really matters.

Becat can't make it tomorrow night and I'll be gone too. Got to help our church's Red Cross shelter for those sad Ike victims. See y'all next week though! You're welcome to still drop by at 9 CST on Thur.

Well, after reading on here that some of you were cutting your .125 Mirapex pills in half, I did the same thing. Success! No nightmares and all the other symptoms were greatly reduced -- but I'm still in somewhat of a fog during the day. I'll keep at the low dose with half-pills to see how it goes....
