This is just exciting for me, since I used it successfully before it was banned. To bad all of the abuse that makes things hard for those of us with legitimate uses.

I used it for several years without any issue also...as for off label use not being allowed, could someone provide a link, I thought being moved from sched 1 to 3 allowed for off label use. My doctor is giving it to me off label and even though he perscribes pain meds regularly he follows regulation...

Interesting, my neuro office called to reschedule an appointment and I mentioned xyrem in passing after talking to the doctor he offered to get me in and give it a shot. With the weight gain on the lyrica he had no problem with trying an alternative.

Well....still sleeping well but have gained about 15 pounds and sprained my ankle during the night and did not realise what happened till my wife said that I had tripped over the fireplace. I am expecting the same reaction, my neuro won't bat an eye at giving pain meds......who knows. Hoever I did use it with great success before it was banned. It's a shame. Just reading what your doctor has to go thru to get this perscription I seriously doubt most will put in the effort to get it don...

I would like to hear more Xyrem stories and how people are doing on this. Lyrica is working good now but I do not like the mental dullness and would like to convince my doctor to put me on xyrem for a while and see what happens.

it is still working well for me, as a caution to anyone on seizure meds like lyrica and gabapentin, taper down the dose. Stopping cold turky can put you at risk for having seizures. P.S. Even though I have been sleeping thru the night, the first time I did get up while on the lyrica, tripped on the fireplace and woke up with a purple foot(no clue till morning), going pretty soon for and x-ray....

I had looked into butchers broom for this same reason, looks interesting. Once I have some spare cash I might have to give it a shot, couldn't hurt anyways.
