Charlene, it really sounds like you were augmenting with the Requip. Since you no longer have daytime RLS and didn't have it before taking the Requip. . .

I'm glad it's stopped and hope the RLS continues to stay controlled by the meds you are taking.

Hey Nadia, how goes it? Hope all is still very well with you, the girls, and the main man. I went one step farther - I made them respond to an email instead of just registering. Registration reduced it a lot, but this has reduced it to almost zero. I have only deleted one spam post since I did that ...

This was a similar article and the link still works.

I just did a search on Yahoo using the same words as in the link. I found these. Not sure if they are the same exact ones, but assume it is quite similar:

Internet posting and "chat" lingo is a little different. Like prolly for probably! There are sites that list the abbreviations; I've looked at them now and then to get caught up on the new language we are writing.

If the RLS isn't getting worse or more frequent (two signs of augmentation), that is a good thing! If, however, you are taking more Mirapex because your RLS is coming earlier in the day or is more severe, augmentation is more likely the problem. You can either add another sleep aid - and you probabl...

Elizabeth, it is very common for untreated celiacs to have RLS. It's because the gut isn't absorbing iron. Once the celiac is treated, it's unlikely that a celiac will have any more RLS potential than a non-celiac. So, if your celiac is under control through a strict and rigid diet and your tests ar...

Generally, it's a "dear husband" in internet speak. DD (dear daughter), DS (dear son) etc.

However, as in my post to you about celiac, is can be dermatitis herpetiforma on the Celiac Board I belong to. Not sure how we keep it straight there, lol.

Thanks, Charlene. There is another post around here somewhere with all the tests listed and what to take when, and how to read them. My DH has celiac! Small world. Ruby, dermatitis herpetiforma (DH) occurs in some celiacs. It's thought to be a skin manifestation of the disease - some of these people...

Elin, I just have a minute, but Benadryl makes the RLS worse for most people! So, please be careful using it.

Please check out the "sticky" post in this section and read the posts in the non-pharm section.

she seemed surprised and said I should not since I was taking requip. Guess she does not really understand. Jill Yep. . .tooo many docs that really do not understand. They read a little literature (probably all they have time to do) and think they know all about it. It's sooooo hard to know all abo...

The added drug - hmmm, doesn't seem all that helpful for RLS. I've never heard of this formulation being used for RLS, but I haven't done a search about it, either. It's just never been in any list I've seen. Josh, you are absolutely right, though. It is NOT a drug to use for people with daily RLS, ...

I hate to be the party-pooper, but when I last chatted with Dr B about the book, he seemed surprised at the date on Amazon. . . I think that may have been the "hopeful" date. I'm not sure it's the actual date. It may be 3 to 5 weeks because it hasn't left the publisher's yet.
