I'm also finally getting naps again, and I believe it's the opiates. The medication allows me to get adequate rest and relieves me of any symptoms.

I just received my statement from my insurance company regarding the cost of a consultation with Dr Silber at Mayo Clinic. For the consultation only it was $ 465.00.(my sleep study was canceled)That does'nt include my flight, hotel and food. Even if I would of had to pay the consult out of pocket, i...

If your augmenting you should not be taking Sinemet! It will just make you worse! It has been my experience that I augmented on Sinemet, Requip and Mirapex. My physician from Mayo said no DA's if augmentation happens with each medication. How high of a dose of Neurontin are you on? 3600 mgs is the m...

Does'nt your physician know you will go with terrible withdrawls if you don't wean slowly off of Opiates? Does he care? This seems very cruel and inhumane to me! Have you printed the Mayo Clinics Algorhythm (from Zach's signature) and taken it to him. I always think it's good to create a plan WITH y...

Sorry, I missed it that your the one in recovery! This is how I did it early on. I have mentioned in other posts that I had opiate/alcohol addiction after a back injury 17-18 yrs ago. I finally hit bottom, asked for help and went to treatment for 5 months. That truly was a gift from God. I have cont...

Mayo Clinic...Dr Silber appointment...Great experience!

Well I just returned from Mayo Clinic and had an appointment with Dr Silber, one of the physicians that wrote the Mayo Clinic Algorhythm for RLS sufferers. I traveled from Michigan, but it was well worth the trip! Dr. Silber spent 1 1/2 hrs with me going over all my past history, wrote out a time li...

If I were you I would definately give it a try! I was absolutely miserable for several months until I stopped the Neurontin and started Lyrica. Of course, I had to be patient and let my physician gradually increase the dose to get relief. But that is different with everyone. I understand that you do...

jy13131, Yes, I'm currently on Lyrica 150 mg 3 times/day, and it was a life saver. I have been medicated for RLS for the past 11 yrs. and probably have tried at least 14-15 meds. Prior to the Lyrica (started about 6 wks ago) I was taking Neurontin 3000mg/day. I had been on that for 11 yrs. I think i...
