Oh, that's awful, Linda. Doctors can be such jerks. But there are always other doctors. Shoot, I figure if I have to fly to Southern California to visit Dr. B to get the treatment I need, then that's what I'll do. When doctors forget that it's there job to take care of us, and not the other way arou...

Stressed and distressed

We have really been having a time with my 16 year old daughter. She's brilliant, in college and getting a 4.0, but is so depressed and unmotivated. And she keeps making up learning disabilities as excuses for not doing chores or learning to drive, or remembering to take her meds. Like we'll buy that...

Oh Charlene, I hope they can give you some answers as well as some treatment. I'm having a bit of a crisis of faith myself right now, but I will light a candle for you.

The worst of the creepy crawly sensations have always been in my left arm, and I've beat up that arm many, many times. Whatever works, but I'm looking for better options.

Oh, I can certainly agree to the relaxation part. I completely gave up a several year mediation practice for a long while. I also was unable to get acupuncture because the meditative relaxed state made my RLS go nuts immediately. 45 minutes with needles in your legs as you try desperately to keep t...

Thanks for your thoughts. My post was more to get input on the withdrawl experiences of Requip. I've done many a search and have not pulled up too much information on experiences. I'm so glad I stopped, even with the bad week of comming off of it. Maybe someone will read this post and decide not to...

Hi Amy, There are quite a few people who take klonazepam on this board. Hopefully they'll answer. I took diazepam for 10 years for chronic vertigo from inner ear damage. It's in the same class of drugs, so it probably has similar effects. I had to take it 3 times a day, every day. It was between tha...

THE HAIR IN THE EARS FAIRY??? You are so hilarious. Thank goodness that on hasn't visited me yet. But then again, I can't see in my ears... I sell cosmetics as a stay-at-home-mom job. I have quite an arsenal. Some days I get out of bed, look in the mirror, and the mirror threatens me that it will sh...

Melatonin used to work well for me. My insomnia is way too wicked these days for it to work, though. Hopefully in the future it will work again. I take a divided dose of 4mg. Lunesta. I take a 2mg tablet, and then about an hour later, another 2 mg. tablet. That works IF the RLS is under control. If ...

The pain thing...

I'm wondering if anyone has a clue as to why some of us experience so much pain with RLS? Mine has been particularly severe since augmenting on Requip. To me it seems like the same sensations, but much more intense, making me perceive them as pain. The sensations/pain are in the same places in my bo...

I can't say I've noticed a correlation between my RLS and stress. I've noticed that it has been much worse when on certain antidepressants, particularly Lexapro. One thing I do know is that my RLS causes me stress. The other weird thing is that relaxation exercises make it worse, as do muscle relaxa...

Brandy, have you had your ferritin level checked? That's one of the first things doctors should check when people complain of RLS, but sadly, they don't seem to. Ever since my gastric bypass, almost 3 years ago, I have tended to get anemic. I went through multiple iron injections at one point. But I...

Susan- One hydrocodone can take all of your augmentation away? Ann, how is this possible? I mean, how can severe augmentation respond so well to a medium potency opioid and I am taking 8 mg doses of Dilaudid with only partial relief of leg symptoms? Susan, I say if hydrocodone works so well for you...
