THAT CRACKED ME UP. Oh Becat, you just made my day with that one!! And Jan, your Defragging My Brain comment had ...

I understand that feeling of it rushing up your chest and throat...it is the most indescribable of all my symptoms. I have mainly focused in the left hand side and causes the strangest sensations around my heart which is most unnerving!!! And the hopelessness you describe is discussed under another ...

Hopelessness and depression

I have visited my doctor an many occasions and have ended up with uncontrollable sobbing trying to explain I'm not depressed but I feel absolutly hopeless!!! There is a difference...depression makes you want to commit suicide--hopelessness makes you feel like you might as well commit suicide. Just m...

My thoughts, heart, hugs and support to you both. Times like these are never easy on the heart and can take us to that dark place in which we can drown in so easily. Yes there have been times when i've checked out my various drugs available to make sure i had enough to do the job.I do not like being...

If it's there you might as well live it!

Life and all it's ups and downs (which we as rls survivors are so very well aware of) has a way of teaching appreciation. It teaches us to appreciate the good by throwing in the bad....How would we know what is good if there was no bad...But to truly appreciate the good we have to let go and enjoy i...

Yes i have read it (i don't think there is a post on this site that i haven't read!) but it was mentioned amongst a myriad of other things. I believe that this is a subject that warrants it's own topic due to it's unique status.

In the fire and loving it!

It was the only way I could get it out of my system This subject has been niggling at me for a while and finally demanded too much of my attention to be ignored! It's illegal over here too but at a similar status to ACT laws. I'm considering asking my doc about a medical licence, he already knows I ...

The unspeakable

MARIJUANA Yes i use it for relief. Yes it works for me. Yes you do build up a tolerance but abstinance repairs this. Used only before bed as some of the effects can be as interesting as traditional pharmaceuticals . Relief is gained within minutes. Not ideal for general everyday use so it doesn't t...

Some people on here maybe be wrong in your opinions and ideas, actually a lol of you are wrong on a lot of your ideas in my opinion, but I simply ignore that. Even in my lala land state of mind at the moment this comment gave me great concern. That you would rather another soul who suffers from thi...

Hi Jan

You weren't wrong 8) , augmentation does mean you have to increase medications periodically until they become ineffective and you have to change them.

Augmentation

Sorry to show my ignorance, but what is paresthesia? And what is augmentation I see some of you writing about? Augmentation is a worsening of RLS symptoms in the course of therapy. Symptoms may be more severe and start earlier in the day (e.g. afternoon rather than evening) than before treatment be...
