Re: Stopping pramipexole and starting methadone
PB, I have the same concern over dropped pills...whenever my mother visits, I find random pills on the stairwell or under her luggage after she leaves. I realized she was piling her pills on counters, often to remind herself to take them at some point but often forgetting. She was also walking from ...

Ann & Beth,
Are the specifics of the right kind of iron infusion listed anywhere on the discussion board? Another member mentioned that a recent webinar talked about this.

Re: My new Relaxis
I had my first sleep study last October at the best hospital in the city and my neurologist diagnosed PLMD only. I asked him about this because I also have RLS, and Benign Fasciculation Syndrome (what are we? chopped liver!) and he said that "for our purposes, you have PLMD." I kind of get...

Re: Study of Drug for (Maybe) Treating Augmentation
The RLS Foundation has awarded a $37,000 research grant for "Treatment of RLS Augmentation with Ecopipam, A D1 Specific Antagonist" to William G. Ondo, MD, of Houston Methodist Neurological Institute. This small clinical trial will evaluate the effectiveness of ecopipam in reversing the s...

Re: Impact of poor sleep
You all are so very sweet...between food intolerances that I'm still figuring out, life issues, new symptoms, and trying new medications, I've been a bit wiped out. So very nice to have a place to just sit, kick up my jerky legs, and chat with kind people that totally, and completely freakin get it.

Re: Impact of poor sleep
As I'm getting older, I often look in the mirror and see my mother looking back at me. Today I felt like her. I went to see my neurologist and I was really struggling from lack of sleep. I felt sick to my stomach, every ache in my body felt exaggerated, and every thought was inside a foggy bubble th...

Re: Lonliness
Beth, I was graced with the most amazing Australian Shepherd who died years ago. He was a beautiful black and white with soulful brown eyes, and beyond smart. His favorite thing to do was snatch a freshly unwrapped stick of butter off the kitchen counter. He slept on his back with his legs in the ai...

Re: RLS related
I have spent the evening flicking through the net and notice GHB mentioned frequently as a promoter of deep sleep (albeit with significant reservations). Has anybody tried this? Legsbestill, the book The Fibro Manual (Liptan) mentions Xyrem, or sodium oxybate as being chemically related to GHB...th...

Re: Impact of poor sleep
Legsbestill, always making me laugh...By some people's standards, I do have too many cats, three of them. And I suspect there's something a little twisted about me because I really want more. I just love them so much. I have a really special bond with one of them, and one day my husband walked into ...

Re: Impact of poor sleep
Wow Ann, that's alotta plants and amazing...maybe you have a side business of a botanical garden on your hands, The Nightwalker Nursery. I love plants but am hopeless with them. I have however been able to keep a few cats alive and thriving, so I stick with what I know. As far as husbands go, a neat...

Re: Impact of poor sleep
Legsbestill, breaks my heart...I've been there...am there. My ability to do household chores is my scale of how well I'm doing. I have a lot of ego tied up in it. In fact, our dining room table is often covered in laundry but I won't let my husband touch it. He wants to help, but it's my scale, and ...

Re: Requip & Erectile Dysfunction ???
It's a pity this isn't in a separate mmj thread as there's loads of useful info here. Legsbestill, crackin' good suggestion...I'm going to copy my information above, and put it into the MMJ thread. Also, regarding your questions...at night, CBN makes me very very sleepy and relaxed right away, but ...

Re: Impact of poor sleep
Well said, Leggo...I experience the same thing. I've also noticed that good, restful sleep causes me some anxiety! I'll be bouncing through my day, a little high on the knowledge that restful sleep is possible, and then it hits me that I can't count on it the following night, or ever. The inconsiste...
