Re: My journey to get off Mirapex and use cannabis instead

TucsonGirl, I use cannabis most nights by vaping first, allow about 15 minutes for it to take full effect, then eat a homemade edible, and lights off. I do all of this in my bedroom so there's no distractions and I waste no sleep time. I usually sleep solidly for 4 hours and then wake up. At this po...

Re: Medical Marijuana

Hi jy13131, I have the Pax 2 vaporizer and love it. I have very limited experience since my first time trying marijuana was this past year. I have a $30 vaporizer and the expensive Pax 2 ($280) and the difference is night and day. I had a horrible experience with the cheaper one where it felt like I...

Re: Medical Marijuana

jy13131...For me, the fastest relief is using a vaporizer with CBN flower. I use it right before bed and keep it next to my bed just in case I have breakthrough later. I use the Pax 2 (m). I had a very hard time with the high THC stuff. In fact, I quit MM thinking it wouldn't work for me. But I trie...

Re: D-Ribose

Wow! I took D-Ribose for three months but only during the daytime. I don't have daytime RLS symptoms. I took it for energy because I was so dang tired from lack of sleep and told not to drink coffee or eat sugar. I needed something. I learned about it on the Internet with lots of people using it for...

Re: Need Feedback on Mirapex

Thanks Holland & Ann (you two are superheroes on this forum)... I'm thinking medication (Mirapex) that requires any ramping up may not be a good option for travel. But I may have no choice. Also, what does it mean that the Mirapex didn't help? Is there a difference between brand name and generic...

Need Feedback on Mirapex

I've used Mirapex (generic) probably three times since I was diagnosed with RLS last year. In the beginning I was desperate for sleep so even though my sleep doctor ignored my low ferritin and said there was no such thing as augmentation, I took Mirapex for two nights. It did nothing but I was also ...

Re: Medical Marijuana - CBN

Following up on my last post...I was inspired to make my own CBN after trying many different cannabis products. Early on in my experimentation, I found a transdermal patch of CBN by Mary's Medicinals. Compared to everything else, it was my best sleep and experience with cannabis. It's very sedative ...

Re: RLS or something else? Part 2

I've been reading your story and wishing you had more answers for what is happening. I've been in this position before and it is beyond frustrating and scary. I'm not sure this will help you at all but I had to at least suggest it...I know of a doctor in Seattle that may be able to help, or point yo...

Re: Stopping Tramadol, Starting Gabapentin,.

Being comfortable definitely counts for a lot...I sometimes have insomnia and the OTC supplement, Passionflower, works for me. It takes about an hour to start working but then I start to relax both physically and mentally, and I'm sleeping. It only lasts about 3 hours for me and I already have MM in...

Got sleep? What's your jam?

I woke up today with more sleep than I'm used to and I felt energetic (where did that come from?!) and driven to accomplish something, so I took that energy and did something extremely important...I cleaned the cat area for 2 hours!!! I disinfected everyyyyything. Cleaning brings me unbridled joy. S...

Debbluebird, I hear you on the immune system being not as good as it used to be...I've had 3 consecutive colds since December. I'm used to maybe one a year but this is ridiculous. I'm not even sure there's enough different cold viruses that can exist in such a short period but one cold will resolve,...

Re: What to expect when "detoxifying"

Thank you for detailing your journey for all of us...I found these interesting articles on a doctor that discovered that a Low Oxalate Diet got rid of her Fibromyalgia and RLS symptoms. She recommends trying the diet for 3 weeks.
