Re: Great, well sourced article on opioids
Glad you enjoyed it. I've been seeing more of these lately, which is a good thing. Here's one from the Washington Post:

Re: Kratom berry compote
Do you need to tell your sleep medicine doctor that you're going somewhere else? I haven't told my back surgeon I'm going to a pain management doctor (recommended by by primary care doctor) because he so egotistical he'll never accept the surgery didn't fix my symptoms. I've had my primary care Dr ...

Re: Opioid Interview on TV
Great point badnights!
When I say pain I'm thinking of the paper that described how itching, electrical sensations, etc are considered a form of pain.
But I'm sure the news wasn't making that distinction.

Steve, yes. And even their tone of voice.
I did discover a bias when I thougjt about it...every time they report on the "opioid crisis" they don't have a dissenting opinion, but yet they felt obligated to "balance" your perspective with Mr. Doctor Authority Figure.

Re: Opioid Interview on TV
Great interview!!! And not too horribly biased coverage by the news (that's the most I'll give any news these days). A lot of time they subtly undermine the interviewee but I thought they were respectful to you.

Re: Mental RLS triggers
Laughing triggers it for me. Mildly, but consistently. Also, thinking about it can trigger it (trying to describe it, for instance). Just focusing my attention on my ankles or wrists will trigger it (when it starts up, those places are where it spreads out from). Wow. RLS is definitely a neurologic...
