Re: Tele-medicine from Quality Care Centers
Hi. I was just thinking about this again. My wife just got an iPhone 7 and our son also has an iPhone 7. We just sent our grandson a birthday present and our son called us and it immediately came up on my wife's phone with a picture, using FaceTime. What if you used iPhones for this? You could send ...

Tele-medicine from Quality Care Centers
Since so many people with RLS have difficulty finding a doctor who will treat RLS - and even if they can the patient often knows more about RLS than the doctor, what if doctors at quality care centers would be willing to do tele-medicine with patients who live far away. Even if the patient had to sp...

Re: Med resistant RLS
I had the same problem. My wife who is a nurse suggested I consult a pain management specialist. I took some literature from this website to educate them and they have been treating me since then. Hope you can solve your problem.

ViewsAskew. I have not logged on in a very long time. You mentioned that my jerks could be hypnic jerks. I am no expert either. However, these jerks also occur during sleep. They can also be somewhat robust. The meds that help rls also help these jerks, at least for a period of a few days. Not sure ...

Re: Topic of the Year
I just wanted to clarify one thing. The jerking starts when I am in a deeply relaxed state -- prior to sleep.

Here is a link to a site containing a podcast of about an hour with both Dr. Paul Jaminet and Dr. Terry Whals discussing Ketogenic diets.

I wanted to try Horizant last year. My doctor prescribed it for me but the pharmacy said they couldn't get it.

Sleepdancer2 -- Thank you again for your replies. After the sinus operation I did not notice any difference in my symptoms. They did not seem to increase. Since the brain is right behind the sinuses I am guessing that the added pressure of the CPAP somehow aggravated something in my brain that made ...

sleepdancer2 -- thank you for your reply. I do not doubt that what you say is true. But for me The difference is very noticeable even when I am in a semi sleep state. When I did the last sleep study, I did not take any meds and I slept very little during the test. I believe it was an ABAB condition ...

Re: xbox, playstation, wi etc.
I had a WII a few years ago but I became addicted to playing Madden online. Probably partially due to the addictive side effects of my mirapex. So it actually made my sleep worse during that time.

Re: Topic of the Year
I have had RLS/WED for at least 35 years. During the first 20 years I controlled it through the use of stretching. In 2000 stretching was no longer effective and my symptoms lasted all night long. I then started taking mirapex. I started taking 1 mg but changed to 2 mg after a few months. I believe ...

Fisher Wallace Stimulator
I have been seeing several internet adds for this lately. Does anyone know if this would work for RLS/WED?
