Dipyridamole and cannabis interaction
As regulars will know I have introduced dipyridamole to my regime (currently 100mg daily) and while it doesn't knock symptoms out completely it is helpful in that it eliminates the creepy crawley sensation. It also helps a lot with daytime sleepiness and general malaise and I have felt immeasurably ...

Re: Earlier Onset While Driving Requiring Early Oxycodone Dosage
The stress of the driving could itself be exacerbating the rls if I understand your message to be that the hours of driving have recently increased. I took er oxycodone (OxyContin) for awhile. I had to take 30mg in the evening for my symptoms when I was using it alone and I definitely had withdrawal...

Re: Augmentation or opioid withdrawal?
There is a lot of hearsay out there to suggest that kratom can be very helpful when withdrawing from an opioid.

Re: Augmentation or opioid withdrawal?
I find of the (many) miseries of rls is the endless uncertainties it throws up. Maybe you would be right to take the plunge and stop the 5mg as you are going to be miserable whether you do that now or wait for current symptoms to settle down. On the other hand would you make the whole business much ...

Re: Augmentation or opioid withdrawal?
It may be worth stopping at 5mg of methadone for a while to allow those symptoms to settle down before reducing further (if you decide they are withdrawals). I hope they don’t trouble you for too long. With OxyContin, I found withdrawals lasted about 6 weeks. Of course if it is actually augmented rl...

Re: Augmentation or opioid withdrawal?
I haven’t withdrawn from methadone but have from a high dose of OxyContin and I found the symptoms very close to those of augmented rls. One difference for me was that withdrawal symptoms presented more randomly through the day and at night. They weren’t identical (to rls) but only very subtly diffe...

Re: Exchange mild discomfort now for longer time to reach augmentation?
I agree entirely with Holland. It is possible that ultimately one’s current regime will be less successful but by using a multi-faceted (multi-drug) approach, there are likely to be options when that happens eg increase one drug while decreasing another or taking a drug holiday from one while using ...

Conversely, I feel that taking iron every second day has helped increase my levels more consistently than taking it every day. It is difficult to tell for sure however.

Wow. I found the opposite. It worked well for the urge to move symptoms but it kept me awake. I hope it continues to work well for you.

2bassetmom, your daughter should get her serum ferritin checked. If it is low it may be contributing to her rls onset.

Re: What med cocktail works for you??
I continue to find it helpful to read of other peoples regimes and totally understand why you ask. I have experimented with a number of different options since I came off pramipexole two years ago after augmenting. My rls definitely responds better to a cocktail of meds at a low dose. I currently ta...

You are probably already aware but amitryptiline exacerbates rls in most sufferers (not that I’m suggesting you discontinue it without discussing with your medical advisers. Steve and Holland have said everything I would have otherwise. In fact, there is a good chance you won’t get better advice eve...

I have seen reports from rls sufferers on other forums (fora for the purists) saying that cbd helped a lot but given how expensive it is it’s difficult to recemmend it very highly.

Re: CBD oil
Hi Betty, It is a while since I took the cbd oil and my memory is a bit hazy. I think I took it only at bedtime. I used a brand called Charlotte's web oil. They have three strengths and I started with the lowest strength which really made no impact. To do the job thoroughly I then tried the highest ...

Re: Hello from Schräg
Hi Brian, your poem struck a cord and I love the bye-line ‘a real thing you don’t want’. When I was withdrawing from mirapexin (a dopamine agonist like your neupro) my sleep consultant was adamant that I reduce gradually but like Holland says it did prolong the agony. Having said that some people ha...
