Re: Riding the Big One (RLS 24/7, Hanging Ten)

good to hear from you. Glad you're hanging in there! Keep doing the exercises, it might take a while; also there's a lot of good info on shoulder rehab if you can dig it out of the truckloads of not-so-good info online. Funny, I also am having left shoulder issues and bunion issues - I am doing a s...

Re: Riding the Big One (RLS 24/7, Hanging Ten)

I have a right shoulder issue. A two inch rotator cuff tear that can't be repaired. All they can do is a reversed total replacement. Isn't it wonderful to get older. Yes, isn't it though (getting old lol) I had my right shoulder operated on about 10 years ago, they shaved some of the bone off and t...

Re: Riding the Big One (RLS 24/7, Hanging Ten)

I'm still kicking. Doing pretty good considering. Generic Suboxone still working. I take 1 mg film 4 times a day. This is because if I take 4 mg at once it keeps me hyper and awake. My lower back has been really bothering me, it is currently why I wake up in morning as it hurts just before I get up....

Re: Riding the Big One (RLS 24/7, Hanging Ten)

EeFall .... Glad to hear from you and that you are now on Medicare. Good luck. I used my Medicare card for first time today to get a flu shot. Actually the reason I am up and about. I woke up with a really sore left arm that is throbbing and was wondering what the heck it was and realized my wife h...

Re: Riding the Big One (RLS 24/7, Hanging Ten)

I’m still kicking. It has been over 3 months since I have been here. One thing that has changed is I’m on Medicare now. A 3 months supply is now sent to me every 3 months and it only costs $12 for 3 months of generic Suboxone. I was paying $140 to $300+ a month for it. Generic does not seem to work ...

Re: Riding the Big One (RLS 24/7, Hanging Ten)

I guess I can't say "welcome back" without it sounding bad :D I'm glad you had a month of relatively little grief, and I hope tonight's grief goes away and doesn't return! Half the time I don't know what day it is but then being retired it doesn't really matter  I did sleep 5 1/2 hours last ni...

Re: tomorrow I am going to vent about rls

I have turned 84 and my legs are worse then ever/ I have no where to go, the doctors know nothing. They just say double the mariapex and I was taking 1.5 three times a day. that is not right. I am getting to the point that I just want to die. I use to be a happy person now all I want to do is feel ...

Re: Riding the Big One (RLS 24/7, Hanging Ten)

Wow, very good ! Isn't it amazing to be so ecstatic over one good night. It always feels so good. Then I pray for a second night. Wow, I have been away from this site for a month. My RLS is like tossing dice, you never know if you are going to crap out or get lucky. Let's see, it is past midnight a...

Re: For Anyone Who Thinks RLS is a Joke

Hey EeFall, I just read your first post again and now see your post from April this year that shows, that you were not able to improve your RLS much. Can you make a list with all the drugs & therapies you have tried already? Also regarding this anger thing: so Buprenorphine does stimulate different...

I had a normal nights sleep. I feel like I should be dancing around in circles and shouting YES at the top of my lungs.

Re: For Anyone Who Thinks RLS is a Joke

Why is the alarm going off so early? Sometimes that's about the time I'm able to sleep. Then sleep until noon. I've also thought about what it would be like not to be taking meds. It would be an end of life situation. A person is only able to stay awake for a month before you die. I don't think I'd...

Re: For Anyone Who Thinks RLS is a Joke

Around and around we go - I go round and round and always back to that one main fact, I have this dang severe RLS and its never going to change. I don't want to take meds but I do want to live, if I don't take my meds I'm not really living. The other reality is that we are never static beings. We sp...

Re: Riding the Big One (RLS 24/7, Hanging Ten)

We went to bed after 10 pm this evening and that is when I discovered I had forgotten to take my 8 pm dose of buprenorphine (Suboxone). By then I was already getting restless so said goodnight to my wife and went back to the living room. It is now 2:20 am yikes. We have Alexa programmed to tell me w...

Re: Side effects from all opioids

I have taken Suboxone for many years and before that methadone and combinations of other drugs including gabapentin for RLS. Once in awhile I become depressed and take Kratom which works incredibly fast to snap me out of it. Years ago I took Remeron (mirtazapine) which worked too but I had to take i...

Re: Riding the Big One (RLS 24/7, Hanging Ten)

The prescription delivery was free but then the guy who delivered it at the door at about 9 pm was 60 plus years old himself and I could tell he had a hectic day so gave him a $5 tip which he appreciated. I felt for him, he shouldn't be out in the pandemic like that. My mother fell 6 times total and...
