great method

Please share your experiences, successes, and failures in using non-drug therapies for RLS/WED (methods of relief that don't involve swallowing or injecting anything), including compression, heat, light, stretches, acupuncture, etc. Also under this heading, medical interventions that don't involve the administration of a medicine to the body (eg. varicose-vein operations, deep-brain stimulation). great method

Post by and »

I found that rapid eye movement, such as when reading, greatly relieves
my RLS during the night. My theory is that RLS IS a neurological disease and so the eye movements interfere with whatever is going on inside your brain. Try it!

As an avid reader I use reading like most people use TV. I have spent many a night walking the floor with RLS while reading a book. Although reading relaxes me, I have seen no benefit with my RLS.
