Hi everyone
I am considering trying acupuncture for the RLS, I have spoken to a Chinese dr from a local practice and he says it works.
I went on and looked up the web , I haven't found any info against it.
I found this site it talks about RLS in a very simple way with info on different ways to treat it.

I will let you know, the dr I was talking to said I could get it on the NHS which means I would not have to pay for it , but knowing my luck it will not be available in my area.
I will ask my dr on Friday.
I am hoping it works as I am getting badly troubled through the night and feel as if I'm turning night into day again.

Ok I'm repeating myself here, Sorry!
I have used acupuncture for the pain I get from RLS and it worked well for that. I went to two specialist for this for almost a yr..
One helped with the pain, the other was just trying to sell me every herb in the clinic.
It really did well for my pain and possibly my sleep, but for the other RLS symptoms not so much, or not that I could tell.
I say go for it. It's something that , if done well, can be very helpful in many or other ways as well.
I try everything at least once, twice if I like it, LOL.
Go for it Moonlight!
Hugs Lynne

I had a similar experience to Lynne's. It didn't work for my RLS, but did for other things. sigh
But, some people here HAVE had good luck with it. Because there is probably nothing that works for everyone, I also think it's worth a try.

Hi Lynne and Ann
My RLS is weird feelings, constant need to move and pain all the time so maybe it will help, I would love to get rid of the pain as it it goes into my legs, back and arms, now everytime the RLS starts, I don't get the creepy crawly feelings.
I have thought about things and I think I must have had this way back to when I was a child as I had to move ( fidjit) all the time but as ive got older , in the last 23yrs it has gone to pain.
