Stress and RLS
Stress and RLS
I am new to the site, and have been doing a lot of reading. I was wondering, has anyone noticed if being under a lot of stress exacerbates RLS? Thank you.

Re: Stress and RLS
Welcome to the site; hope that you've been finding good information.
Yes, stress can worsen the symptoms, if our experiences mean anything.
Not sure how used to forums you are, but there is a search function and it might be helpful to you when looking for something familiar. In the Search box in the upper right of the screen, you can type in terms, such as stress, and see the results. I just did it and there are over 1200 mentions of stress!

Yes stress contributes to WED, but when you aren't sleeping because of increased WED, I believe that that causes more stress. It can be a vicious cycle. DEB

I have been stressing out big time about going back to work soon and the RLS has kicked in big time. Very uncomfortable feeling. It is sickening.

I like that - sickening. Apt.
I didn't want to believe it was worsened by stress, because I'd already had co-workers telling me it was entirely caused by stress and I knew darn well it was not.
But I was forced to recognize that stress does make it worse. A couple of times when I was under heavy stress, the symptoms became unmanageable with my given meds. I admit now that stress makes it worse.

I wish that someone could just find a cure for it so it can go away forever.
