Chewing gum

Please share your experiences, successes, and failures in using non-drug therapies for RLS/WED (methods of relief that don't involve swallowing or injecting anything), including compression, heat, light, stretches, acupuncture, etc. Also under this heading, medical interventions that don't involve the administration of a medicine to the body (eg. varicose-vein operations, deep-brain stimulation). Chewing gum

Post by pab628 »

I don't know if this would help anyone, but I'll throw it out there. I have found that chewing gum, at the very start of the RLS sometimes helps. I don't know if that's my imagination or what. It doesn't solve it, but seems to help.

Maybe the movement? Maybe the concentration on something else?

Easy thing to try!
