DIY Foot Hammock

Post by leanmusclemass »

Hello again!

This is an adaptation of a product, which you can buy for about £8.00. It’s a gardeners’ folding kneeler and seat.

I’ve put it at the bottom of my bed, so that it’s in the ‘kneeler’ position (ie, legs in the air). I’ve then taken a long towel and knotted it across the legs, so that it forms a loop.

And that’s it. If you sleep a bit further down the bed than usual, your feet can slide into the towelling loop and ‘hang’ in mid air.

Give it a try! It might help.

It is quite. The problem I’m having now is attaching it firmly to bed or floor so it doesn’t move. But it feels lovely!

Thanks, Polar!

I’ve figured it out now: the problem was tipping and creeping. So I’ve tied the towel to the base of the bed: this gives you both a firm attachment and a natural division of the towel, so each foot is separate. I’ve out beach sandals under the arms of the kneeler, so it can’t move.

Dead nice. :0) Haven’t actually tried sleeping in it yet...
