Will excercise and weight reduction affect my RLS symptoms?

Please share your experiences, successes, and failures in using non-drug therapies for RLS/WED (methods of relief that don't involve swallowing or injecting anything), including compression, heat, light, stretches, acupuncture, etc. Also under this heading, medical interventions that don't involve the administration of a medicine to the body (eg. varicose-vein operations, deep-brain stimulation). I can share my experience - may not be yours. For me, when I return to exercising or change it up (longer, harder, different), i always used to have increased symptoms for up to 2 weeks. Then it went back to normal, or possibly even less. This was pre-augmentation and 24/7 symptoms. Now, anything I do including caffeine, alcohol, or exercise changes have a much smaller impact either way.
