Please share your experiences, successes, and failures in using non-drug therapies for RLS/WED (methods of relief that don't involve swallowing or injecting anything), including compression, heat, light, stretches, acupuncture, etc. Also under this heading, medical interventions that don't involve the administration of a medicine to the body (eg. varicose-vein operations, deep-brain stimulation). I have been told by the Relaxis company that it is a 30 day trial and if you are having some success but not the success that you want, they will extend that 30 days to 60 days. I have started to reduce my Mirapex by 1/2 before the Relaxis arrives. I am not having a great deal of difficulty and I am hoping that with the addition of the Relaxis I can eliminate the Mirapex completely. I am not giving up!!
If you are reducing mirapexin without difficulty it is possible you are not augmented but also quite likely that withdrawal symptoms will kick in in due course. I reduced my dose by two thirds before the awful misery began in earnest. That said I may have gone down a bit too fast. Have you told the guys at Relaxis that you are withdrawing from mirapex? I agree that they are really wonderful and would be surprised of they didn't take that into account when calculating your return period.
