Those are good numbers! It must feel satisfying to have that weight come off. And to know that your healthy diet will be slowing down the kidney disease.

Diet is not slowing down kidney problems. We have been eating this way a year and these labs show kidneys have progressed from last year, sorry to say.

Deb, How high is your creatinine? Also a year ago?
Do you know cc (creatinine clearance)?

Your creatinine is probably around 2. Creatinine clearance likely less than 50.

Last year creatinine was 1.2. This year but 1.3. Each year it has been a slow change. It is my doctors idea to get further evaluation.
2006 it was 2.

I looked back, and it has gone up and down.
1992 it was 1.2 range was .5 to 1.5
1997. it was 0.9
2002. it was 1.1 range 0.6 to 1.1
2006 it was 2.0 range 0.5 to 1.4
2012 it was 1.12 range 0.5 to 0.99
2015 it was 1.22 range 0.57 to 1.0
Sometimes I think doctor's just want to be cautious.

Kidney ultra sound came back normal. I am going to talk to my primary next week to see if I can cancel kidney doctor. I just don't think I need it right now. It is too much to be going to all of these doctors. I looked back on labs to 1992. Just went up and down. I have been 1.3 before, I'm sure she will just want to keep watching.

Looks to me like your doc is being overly cautious. I just looked at my last creatinine from slightly less than a year ago, it was 1.3 with a GFR of 57. Technically that puts me at stage 3 chronic kidney disease. My doc has not suggested getting an ultrasound or referral to a kidney specialist, and I have no interest in doing that.

There is no real treatment for early stages of chronic kidney disease other than to keep your blood pressure under control.

Thank you for responding. That is what I thought too. I drink my water every day. I have enough doctors to go to as it is, cardiology, pulmonary, RLS, as well as PCP every 3 months. The only other issue is the swelling if my legs, in the last year, going on 2. I already do low salt.
