Changing time zone info

Anything on your mind that isn't about RLS? It's nice to realize that there is life beyond this disease and have an opportunity to get to know our online family in a different context.

Changing time zone info

Post by ViewsAskew »

Hello everyone,

There have been a couple of posts about the time zones lately. I thought I'd post a group post (is that like a group hug?) in case more people needed help.

Go to your Profile - it's a hypertext link on the top of your screen where you log out/log in.

Scroll down toward the bottom of the page to Timezone.

Select the offset to GMT that is appropriate for your timezone. The board defaults to Greenwich Mean Time. You have to enter if you are ahead or behind that. Chicago is -6 GMT, but because of daylight savings, it is currently -5. http://www.timeanddate.com/ should allow you to put in your city and find the answer if you don't know it.

If you are in the US, EST is -5, MST is -7, PST is -8, etc. Add an hour for DST for your location as necessary.
Ann - Take what you need, leave the rest
