Hey M, Whacha cookin. I'm eternally hungry too! Sounds like the classes and things are going ok but like anything just remember some days will be better than others. As for the get up and go, just my opinion, but sounds to me like you're getting some of it back already. Congrats.

Remember Chat tonight if you can't sleep.

Being that, for many of us, the RLS attacks us when we are MOST relaxed, relaxation exercises aren't usually a good idea unless the RLS is completely controlled. Now I know why those quiet meditation sessions and "relaxing" visualization exercises drive me straight up the wall. The pain clinic that I go to for my methadone wanted me to do biofeedback to learn to relax, but I informed them that it would not be helpful for me. For some reason, it helps to maintain a certain amount of tension in the limbs or else keep them moving.

Keep up the good work in those classes!

Moonlight, I can't know what you are going through, but can say that I personally found that "the only way out is through." It may take time and it may be so painful at times that you don't know how you will manage. Keep remembering that those people are truly there for you--let them be. If something feels completely "wrong" for you, then let them know.

There is another side--if we can let go enough to get there. This dark side will never completely go away, but it becomes a shadow, dimmed from the bright hold it used to have.

I agree, through is the only way. Keep focused Moonlight, you are doing so well. You will find strength and use also the strength of others who want to help you.

Hey Moonlight,

I'm sorry for all you are going through right now. I went through some stress management classes for 12 long, long weeks about 10 years ago. Couldn't even attempt the yoga, so I didn't and nobody minded. The thing I found useful out of the class that I still use today is the exercise where you close your eyes and envision yourself in a "happy" place. I put myself on the beach looking at a host of Mr. Americas. I found adding the Mr. Americas to the beach helped keep my mind focused so my legs didn't act up.

I know you will find something to take away from these classes that will fit your situation. Be open to everything, but I agree that if it doesn't feel right or you just plain don't like it and it stresses you out -- don't do it! You are paying for these classes and you are in control of how you let it affect you. (Sounds good anyway, huh?)

Take care of yourself. I hope you get some much deserved rest tonight.

Hi Cyndi

Know what youre saying, were lucky over here we don't have to pay for health care, fortunately as I'm on stress group, depression group, art therapy and relaxation and when this finishes will be going on self esteem, assertiveness and confidense groups goodness knows what that would cost over there!
So we are lucky here and i seem to live in an area of Scotland where the healthcare is good and the wait is not that long, 2 weeks to see psychiatrist and another 2 weeks to start the groups so i can't complain.

my relaxation therapist is doing a cd of what she uses in therapy for me to use at home , she has the most dreamy ,beautiful voice ,uses lovely music ,candles ,burns lavendar oil,has a water feature and various lightings that change colour a beautiful atmosphere.

Am still really tired so i think I shall hit the sack

nite to everyone

love moonlight x :P

Hi Moonlight

I'm glad to be able to read all about what you've been doing. It sounds like you've been managing pretty good, even though it's tough. I'm sorry I haven't been around much--you know why. But, I'll be back soon!

You take care, my friend.

Love
Jan
