"He not busy being born is busy dying."

Bob Dylan
from "It's Alright Ma"

Here's another two from Bob Dylan that I love...from the song "Brownsville Girl"

"People don't do what they believe in, they just do what's most convenient...then they repent"

"Strange how people who suffer together have stronger connections than people who are most content."

Oh yeah...I forgot about my most favorite quote from Groucho Marx by way of Woody Allen....you've heard it from me before and it's so true. (especially lately)

"I'd never belong to a club that would have someone like me as a member"

Hi this is not exactly a quote , but it was sent to me by my friend whom I care about very much , even although we have never met. Were meeting up in July.

If luck is a raindrop
I'll send you a shower
If hope is a minute
I'll send you an hour
If happiness is a leaf
I'll send you a tree
And if you need a friend
U'll always have me

"Don’t ask yourself what the world needs; ask yourself what makes you come alive. And then go and do that. Because what the world needs is people who are alive."

–Howard Thurman

It's funny how my dad used to want me to go into insurance since there's so much money in it although that's what he did and he hated it. Our value and our contentment can't be found in money.

Hos- that is a good one.

I have a favorite but I don't know anymore who said it. Perhaps someone else knows. The first part is fairly well known.

All good things come to those who wait, so long as you have the courage to believe in the darkness what you have seen in the light.

I'm sure everyone's familiar with Mark Twain's famous quote about worry:

"I've been through some terrible things in my life, some of which actually happened".

I love this thread. Very good food for thought.

Mike, you crack me up.

Hos your right, money is nice, but it does not create life, a person does that for themselves.

Kathy how true, how true. It's often that I learn what I need to know the most, when it seems to be the darkest. Maybe I learn and get stronger.

Thank you all for sharing these. Again, Great thread.

People don't care how much you know,
They want to know how much you care.

(Don't know who said it first)
