sub-groups in this discussion board?
How many sub-groups in this discussion board? Do members start their own groups here and "own" them so to speak, with their own moderators etc.? If so how is this benificial?

Re: sub-groups in this discussion board?
There are no sub-groups.
Anyone can post a relevant comment on any thread in any section, and can start their own thread if they so wish.
The moderators cover the whole of the Discussion Board.
I wonder what made you think there were 'sub-groups'.

Re: sub-groups in this discussion board?
I wondered because if there are 5 people on (as i can see anyway) that is alot and uncommon, usually it's 2 or so. Also i looked around to see if there is another canadian site or something and wondered about their numer on. I found one and when i looked at their agreement it said that they have people starting thier own groups and that ey own and run them. I don't think i like that idea-but know that I am not qualified to have an opinion, thus the question. I'm trying to figure out how things work and how best to help locally--but that requires more knowledge on my part. Not the tech stuff that i can get through the fouindation, but the personal stuff, like the childrens stuff.

There are different ways of setting up these boards, and different software engines that run them. I don't know much about it.
