Yeah, I know what that's like. My mom is like that too. Not sure about my sister. I've always hated anything touching my legs. It's really better since I've been on the Methadone. I NEVER wanted to cuddle before and now I like it.

FYI, saw your post in the other section, too. Sorry you are having so many difficulties. Being Dr phobic with severe RLS is tough - most of us find we have to to see our docs pretty frequently. I am dentist phobic. I had to have a long heart-to-heart with my dentist and explain it to her. I had to ask her to be patient with me, to treat me exceptionally gently. She had done great. I hadn't gone to a dentist in years because of it and I knew my teeth needed a cleaning desperately! If you can manage to talk about it, sometimes that is a good first step.

Welcome here; I hope you can find some hope and help here.

Hey Sis, I have the same problem with anything touching my legs, and the boyfriend issue. Does he know about rls? I mean has he educated himself about it? What I was doing with my bf was we could go to bed and cuddle and then when I couldnt do it anymore I would sleep on an air mattress that we would set up in his living room. You can get one of those nice tall ones in twin or double and they are very easy to set up and put away not too pricy either. I think if anyone should be on the couch it's the BF you are the one with the sleep disorder, I think that gives you the bed. It is hard sleeping on a couch even for normies so thats my two cents worth. When my BF came to my house he slept on the air mattress he didnt like the idea, I guess he thought he was going to take my bed..........NOT!! I need room to stretch out even my queen bed is not big enough for me heheheh I am what you call a bed pig.............or is it hog hmmmmmmmmm you need to talk and work something out thats fair so you can get some rest GOD BLESS ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Lyndarae

I also can not stand anything to touch my legs even the covers. I have been married ten years and my husband is very familiar with my RLS and understands that I can not always stay in bed with him. For me it is easier to get up and leave the bed because then I can move my legs, pace and toss and turn. I am a stay at home, home schooling mom with a part time job where I can set my own hours so I do my best to keep from bugging him too much with my restlessness. He also has to get up at 4 am for work. I do try and start off the night with him but I usually end up some place else before the night is over. Since he goes to bed early I try to get in some cuddle time when I am wide awake and he is winding down for the night. It helps to maintain our closeness while still accomondating my legs.
