MAY 2017 - NEW MEMBERS

Postby Polar Bear » Tue May 02, 2017 10:10 pm

2nd May 2017

Welcome today to

steve7 - who is recently diagnosed with RLS. It is affecting his quality of life because of the insomnia brought on by it and steve7 is having trouble adjusting and figuring out how to deal with it.

canvas55 - who has just been diagnosed with RLS after having mild to moderate symptoms for 5 years and now severe symptoms (1-2 hrs sleep per night at best). Now started Requip. With little sleep quality of life is bad. canvas55 looks forward to learning about RLS.

Take a look at the this Just Joined Forum - at the top there is information How to Manage RLS/WED.
All of us have been in these horrible positions. Lack of sleep is a big factor. Feel free to post and tell us how you have been managing to deal with your symptoms.

Welcome, Joylyn

Postby ViewsAskew » Fri May 12, 2017 8:58 pm

On Friday, we welcome JOYLYN, who experiences many of the negatives the rest of us do - loss of sleep, no movies, no books, etc.

Do tell us more in a new post, JOYLYN. We might be able to offer some suggestions if we know your history.

Welcome to Schley

Postby Rustsmith » Mon May 15, 2017 12:00 pm

Monday, May 15

Welcome to

Schley, who started having symptoms in her early 30s and is now 55. She was having RLS issues every night and day and was up all the time. She has started on Sinemet and would like info on it.

Sinemet is the trade name for carbidopa-levodopa. It is a short acting dopamine agonist that is generally not used for long term treatment RLS because it causes augmentation very quickly. If you search through our forum on Prescription meds, you will find quite a bit about it. And please post a note telling us about your RLS and how you ended up on Sinemet.
