Welcome to

Maureencox, who has had RLS for years and her mother, who is 80 also has it. It is ruining her mother's quality of life. She has tried everything.

Please post a note telling us about the things that you and your mother have tried for your RLS. Our experience is that there is always something else to try.

Hi Miriam - we're glad you found us (though sad you needed to). Feel free to comment on posts, or to start a Topic of your own to share your experiences or ask questions - or just to vent a bit! You'll find that all our members understand what it's like to live with WED/RLS, you're not alone here.

Welcome to

mlarq, who rarely get to sit or lie down for more than a few minutes. mlarq knows what it means to climb the walls and wants to ask if anybody has tried intermittent leg massagers.

If you will post a note in our Physical Treatments section or scan through some of the past messages, you should be able to find the answer to your question.

Welcome to

dogfather, who said that "Just the fact that I am registering at 2:00 in the morning should tell my story with RLS. That and the fact that misery loves company."

Yes, we all understand that sentiment. If you will post a note telling us a bit about your RLS and asking any questions that you have, we should be able to help you out and maybe even help you get to sleep (most nights) by 2AM.

Welcome to

inflammatory_rls, who developed RLS around a decade ago and is interested in finding a cure.

We are all hoping that RLS research will find a cure, but so far all that we have are treatments. If you are comfortable telling us about how you are managing your RLS in a post or have questions that you would like to ask, we will do what we can to help you out.

Welcome to

lauramelton40, whose RLS has affected every area of her life. She is depressed and exhausted from lack of sleep. She feels anxious most of the time. And on top of that she has nocturnal eating with her RLS.

Please post a note telling us about the meds that you are taking for your RLS. Not only are there ways to improve your control, but your nocturnal eating may be a medication side effect.
