Welcome to annamariemoyer
Tuesday, July 10
Welcome to
annamariemoyer, whose RLS causes insomnia and depression. She just saw a vein specialist today. He recommended that she join this group. She has been suffering with RLS for over 15 years, but is exhausted and can't seem to get ahead in her life.
Please post a note telling is if you are currently using any form of treatment for the symptoms of your RLS. We can probably make some suggestions to discuss with your doctor that will allow you to get some rest and get your RLS under control.

Re: JULY 2018 - NEW MEMBERS

Welcome to CCWags. Sorry you had to find us, CC. The RLS came from nowhere just recently and CC is waking up all the time and not getting the sleep that is needed.
A suggestion is to start a new topic and introduce yourself. Tell us if anything changed about that time - new medication, surgery, job change, anything stressful. We will try to help you sleuth it out.

Welcome to Chumley
Monday, July 16
Welcome to
Chumley, whose RLS has mainly denied restful sleep. In addition, it's difficult to sit quietly to enjoy a play, movie, or any type of entertainment. It's extremely annoying that most of Chumley's friends don't understand RLS or believe such a disease exists.
Please post a note telling us what you are doing to manage your symptoms. And you now have friends here who not only believe that RLS exists, but suffer along with you.

Welcome to KBRN
Monday, July 16
Welcome to
KBRN, whose RLS has ruined life by not sleeping unless she takes Requip and she can barely sit thru a movie after 7p. If she happens to have a glass of wine, the RLS gets worse.
Please post a note asking any questions that you have. We would love to be able to offer some suggestions on how to improve things, or at least learn to live with them.

Welcome to Gasheadalan
Tuesday, 17 July, 2018
Our newest memeber, Gasheadalan, has had this for the last 30 years and is currently wearing tights which reduces the need for medication for the RLS.
Great to hear! Thanks for sharing and welcome.

Welcome to timed
Tuesday, July 17
Welcome to
timed, who is not able to get timed's primary care doctor to prescribe ropinirol, and so was hoping to get some advice.
Please post a note telling us what your PCP is willing to prescribe and if he/she gave any reason. This is generally an issue for those of us who need opioids, ropinirole is usually not a problem.

Welcome to Sanschutz
Wednesday, July 18
Welcome to
Sanschutz, who cannot sleep. About 30 minutes after laying down in bed,the creepy crawly feeling. Sanschutz has tried ice packs, compression, propping leg up, meditation, and many more. It’s no use.
Take a look around to get an idea of what others do to manage symptoms, including the various types of medication. You didn't mention heat, some of us find that soaking in a very hot bath helps shut down the need to move long enough to fall asleep. And please post a note telling us a bit more about your experience(s) with things that you have tried so that we can offer some more specific suggestions.

Welcome to Iman01
Thursday, July 19
Welcome to
Iman01, who can remember the creepy sensations in his legs during rest as a child. His mother understood and told him she had it too but she didn’t know what to do about it. For the most part it stopped for many years but now that he is 67 it has returned with a vengeance and he hasn’t slept well in weeks.
Please post a note telling us if you have been taking any medication to manage your symptoms and asking any questions that you have. We can almost certainly provide you with some help.
