These symptoms are very typical. As you make your way around the forum/s you will probably find questions to ask. Please don't hesitate to join a relevant thread or to start your own thread.

Welcome today to:

RLSexplorer who has recently begun to experience symptoms of pain and real difficulty sleeping, after many years of foot/leg fidgeting when sitting or lying down. At this point, RLSexplorer is self-diagnosed and doing research to see if symptoms really match what is considered RLS.

Take a look in the 'Just Joined' forum and go to 'RLS, A Good Place to Start'. There will be a lot of useful information there. Please do post and we will do what we can to help.

Welcome to

dave851, who has RLS with Periodic Leg Jerks. He has gone through the mill from Sinemet to Mirapex and now Lyrica. He needs to find the right dosage and "cocktail" that works for him. He hates evenings - can never relax. He hopes he can get some suggestions via of the forum.

Please post a note telling us about your treatment history and doses. Many of us find that we need a cocktail of meds to get things under control.

Welcome to

szigmond, who is up most nights with RLS. Pramipexole helps some. Recently szigmond took a trip that required various air flights on 4 separate days-- usually RLS does not occur much in the day but each day szigmond had RLS on either the first or second flight or both. Was wondering if support hose would work-- why should it be worse on a flight. Of course most days szigmond doesn't sit for long periods but still this seemed unusual.

Many of us have issues when faced with conditions where we cannot get up and move around, with airline flights, movie theaters and concerts being the most common complaints. Some find that compression hosiery helps. Others simply double up on their meds prior to the "event". Please post a note telling us a bit more about your situation since pramipexole only helps some. What is your dose, etc. We may be able to offer suggestions to help.

Welcome to

Denise Marie, whose RLS has impacted her family for so long - longer than we even knew what the heck it was. Her mom had the “heebie-jeebies” for lack of a better name to described the sensation of bugs crawling on her legs that she would unsuccessfully try to alleviate by slapping her thighs and pacing the floor all night long. She is quite like her mom and happy to find this community.

Please post a note telling us what you are doing to manage your symptoms so that we can offer some suggestions of things to try.
