Welcome to G4grace
Sunday, January 27
Welcome to
G4grace, who has RLS affecting both legs and arms (more frequently the right side) as a result of a severe case of peripheral polyneuropathy back in the early 1980’s. It greatly disrupts the sleep cycle. Rarely does G4grace ever feel rested.
Please post a note telling us what you are taking for your RLS and neuropathy. We may be able to offer some suggestions to discuss with your doctor for improving your situation.

Welcome to muddauber
Wednesday, January 30
Welcome to
muddauber, who has had RLS for many years. It has gotten worse gradually. He has been on medication for 15+ years and everything he has taken gradually becomes less effective, but his neurologist keeps him on the old stuff. He worries about cumulative affects and is looking for options.
If you will post a note telling us about the meds and doses that your neurologist has had you taking, we can probably offer some suggestions to discuss with your doctor.

Welcome today to
Scott - who has been suffering from rls since he was early 40s. Now he is 55. The medicine prescribed is slowly not working anymore.
This is his 3rd night back to back not sleeping...
We all understand how difficult it is, the medications, the lack of sleep. Please make a post and tell us what you are doing at present to cope, we are here to try and help.

Welcome to GJocoehn
Thursday, January 31
Welcome to
GJocoehn, whose RLS has ruined most of her adult life, lack of sleep for the last forty plus years has been just awful, the pain and aches of legs from late afternoon to 4 or 5 am day and night after day and night is mind numbing hell. She has tried several Doctors who just don't believe her or just don't care. With the advent of the internet in the late 1980's she has gotten more information than from any Doctor, not much help and no cure but some treatment ideas. She won't do it, but now knows why some people commit suicide, the thought of one more night without sleep due to RLS just might be worth the end of all the torment. Just a thought but if it ain't happened yet it probably won't.
Please post a note telling us about your current (and past) treatments. We can offer some suggestions, including how to find a doctor who not only believes, but can also provide help. It might require a bit of travel, but it would be worth it. And, you are not alone in all of this. Almost all of us have been were you are today.
