Welcome to laurat

Post by Rustsmith »

Monday, July 15

Welcome to

laurat, who was diagnosed over 10 years ago but has had symptoms since 2000. Using pramipexole at this time. Takes 2-3 hours for medication to take affect. Looking into medical marijuana.

You will find that we have several ongoing discussions on marijuana if you use our search function (magnifying glass in upper right). And if you don't find what you are looking for, post a note with any questions that you have.

Welcome to rosalinda

Tuesday, July 16

Welcome to

rosalinda, whose twenty years of RLS has led her to use a prescirbed med, methadone, which works well. However, she worries about side effects, like forgetfulness and other brain changes. She would like to share her experience and hear from others.

We would love to hear about your experiences. Many of us use, or have used, methadone. So we will well have lots of experience to share with you.

Welcome to

Cal, who found that using an slow release iron supplement cured her RLS after so many uncomfortable years of suffering. She wanted to reach out to let everyone know that this worked for her and wants to shout it from the rooftops to help others.

Increasing iron helps many of us and can be done in a variety of ways. Feel free to post a note telling us about your experience.

Welcome to Tanager

Post by Rustsmith »

Friday, July 19

Welcome to

Tanager, whose RLS interrupts sleep and forces activities to be planned around symptoms. Tanager finds it embarrassing when legs start twitching/jerking in public. The thought of long air flights in cramped seats is unsettling.

Please post a note telling us what you do to manage, we can probably offer some suggestions for improvement as well as how to survive airline flights.

Welcome to Dancepam

Post by Rustsmith »

Friday, July 19

Welcome to

Dancepam, whose RLS started in 2016. She took gabapentin for a while, but her PCP switched her to Requip. That caused incontinence issues as well as an ongoing battler with her PCP and pharmacy about refills. She is not thinking about seeing a neurologist.

Feel free to post your longer message to start a new discussion thread or to tell us how things go with the neurologist.
