Welcome to Dianeko2246
Monday, October 14
Welcome to
Dianeko2246, whose RLS has effected her sleep. She has tried massaging oil for RLS, heating pad, supplements, and now Dr. put her on Tradazone for sleep, but even with sleep aid, RLS wakes her up. She is trying green tea also and yogurt, which she has gotten tips from searching forums on line.
Although Trazadone is often prescribed as a sleep aid for RLS, it is rarely effective because it does not treat the RLS, it only partially covers one of the symptoms. You might try asking your doctor for a referral to a neurologist who specializes in movement disorders and is therefore more familiar with the treatment of RLS.

Welcome to Tig1
Wednesday, October 16
Welcome to
Tig1, whose RLS impacts his sleep. He sleeps in a separate bed from his wife as his legs shake and wake her. Travel is difficult as certain countries don't allow the medications he takes for it.
Most countries allow small amounts of medication for personal use so long as you have a copy of prescription from your doctor, with the exception of marijuana. If you will post a note telling us about what you are taking, we may also be able to provide you with further comments.

Welcome to mydottie
Thursday, October 17
Welcome to
mydottie, who is interested in RLS discussion and what natural vitamins are being use with iron pills.
When you take iron pills, you either need to take vitamin C or drink a large glass of orange juice so that you will be able to maximize the adsorption of the iron. Please feel free to join any of our ongoing discussions or post a note with any other questions that you have.

Welcome to dgh
Thursday, October 17
Welcome to
dgh, whose life is currently ruled by RLS and insomnia. dgh has diabetes and peripheral neuropathy and believes symptoms are exacerbated by medications currently take for neuropathy.
Please post a note telling us what you are taking for your neuropathy and your RLS so that we can offer some suggestions. Some RLS treatments can also help neuropathy, so taking one med that treats both would be nice.

Welcome to RLSLES
Friday, October 18
Welcome to
RLSLES, whose RLS initially mainly caused a loss of sleep. Now that it is better, he feels a slave to exercise (must do it every day or later he will suffer). So he is curious about others' experiences and coping techniques.
Please post a note telling us if you are taking any meds to help with your RLS so that we can know what to suggest with respect to coping techniques.

Welcome to cedarwaxwing
Sunday, October 20
Welcome to
cedarwaxwing, who goes night after night sleeping only an hour or two because of RLS. Waxwing is diabetic and has peripheral neuropathy. And is also am interested to see what has worked for other people.
Please post a note telling us what you are taking for your RLS and the neuropathy so that we can offer you some specific suggestions.
And I love your logon ID. I used to enjoy the day each spring when a flock of cedarwaxwings would invade my yard to strip the berries off of my youpons. And then they would fly around drunk on the fermenting berries. Very comical to see a drunk bird trying to fly!!
