Welcome to Sgibbes

Post by Polar Bear »

Wednesday 30 September 2020

Welcome today to:

Sgibbes - who has had RLS for 20 years now and has recently started seeing a neurologist who has helped tremendously. Now Sgibbes is pregnant and cannot take the medicine. She needs 10-12 hours in bed just to get 8 hours of sleep and wants to know how others are coping without medication.

Congratulations on your pregnancy. It is a difficult time as so many medications are not suitable to take during pregnancy and we would suggest you look in the Special Populations Forum where you will experiences of others. You could also look in the Forum - Physical Treatments i.e. non medication.
Please do ask any questions that come to mind and we will do our best to guide you.

Welcome to drcmallen

Welcome to

drcmallen, who has had since at least age 5 and drc's mom has too. The last two or three years, RLS has worsened (drc is 62) and become extremely painful all the time. drc really wants to find a way to be in less pain and to be able to sleep.

There are definitely ways to reduce the pain and urges as well as get more sleep. Often the trick is finding the right doctor to help you (and your mom) out. If you have questions after looking around, please post a note with them and we will be happy to help you out.
