Looking for physician

Post by bonesbikes »

I am new to the RLS Foundation. I live in Brevard County Florida. I suffer with chronic, severe refractory RLS. My life is being destroyed. The only thing that has helped at all through the years has been the use of low dose opioids. I am having trouble finding a physician to prescribe this. Any suggestions on finding a physician in my area that is open-minded enough to consider this treatment?

Thanks,

Tom

How close are you to Jacksonville? The Mayo Clinic there has a decent neuro program and since they just published that new algorithm they may be more inclined to follow its guidelines that say low dose opioids are a successful treatment of RLS. Good Luck to you... and welcome to the party!

Thank you. Not far from Jacksonville - 2 hrs. I'll check it out.
