Welcome to Webik12000z125

Welcome to

Webik12000z125, who after radiation for 5 weeks for prostate cancer a benign RLS required ropinerol/.25mg daily. Now he takes it at 8pm and most often it takes him through the night.

Happy to hear that the ropinerole is effectively managing your RLS. The key will be to keep the dose as low as you can with the goal of managing your RLS about 90% of the time. If you can do that, you should be able to keep it effective for a long time.

In the meantime, if you have any questions, feel free to post a message.

Welcome to Pennie

Welcome to

Pennie, whose first recollection was at 9 years. She has had it intermittently all her life but has escalated in last 20 years.
She only recently started medication, having used natural alternatives for relief. She is now 60.

Unfortunately, RLS often gets more severe with age. Did your doctor do blood work to check your ferritin level and do you know the number (normal for everyone else is over 20 but for RLS it needs to be over 100). And assuming that your doctor started you on a dopamine agonist (pramipexole or ropinerole), be sure you read up on augmentation and do everything you can to keep your dose as low as you can for as long as you can. You can also learn more about RLS treatments by reading the document in the link in my signature below.

Welcome to

lindymunoz, who is a current member of the Foundation and is seeking additional resources and a means by which to ask questions relating to RLS and have them answered.

You have come to the right place to ask questions and hopefully get the answers that you seek. Just post a message in the appropriate forum and we will do our best to answer it or them.

Welcome to

Shelly5802, who have side effects from her RLS drug.

All drugs can have side effects, that is why there are choices that doctors can make when treating any condition. Which drug are you taking? We can tell you what alternatives are available. All you need to do is post a message for us.
