RLS worsening after back surgery

Post by chirpee »

I have had RLS since I was 9 years old (I am now 33). My doctors at that time called it "growing pains" I think for a lack of anything else to call it. I have suffered from this generally at least 4-5 days a week. Worse when it rains/snows. I ruptured my L5 disc in September of 2004. I had a laminectomy/disectomy on January 3, 2005 (they removed my disc). During the period I had the ruptured disc (September 2004 - January 2005) I had absolutely not one night of knee pain - NONE :!: Exactly one week post-op, my pain resumed and intensified by 100% (I did not think this was possible). I have had pain EVERY night since and am up all night walking or rocking. Just wondering if anyone else has ever experienced anything similar.
