Welcome today to:

debsinphilly56 - who is considering comming off ropinerole and would like to hear from others and how they managed the withdrawal period.

If you do a search (see search box at the top right) for 'stopping ropinerole' it will bring up previous discussion, there is no easy way other than to go through them. Or you can post, telling a little about your WED/RLS, your medication, and what you want to ask.

Welcome today to:

HopeHeal, whose mother has been dealing with a psychosis of bugs crawling on her skin now for a few years. She has seen doctors and they prescribed psychotic drugs but she went off of them, she hates medications. Looking for anything to help her.

Hope, if you post a note and tell us some more, we may be able to get a better idea whether your mother could have WED. It is not unusual for doctors to miss this diagnosis for years. Also, take a look through the information in "A good place to start" http://bb.rls.org/viewforum.php?f=2

and

bsm1966, who has had WED for 25 yrs and is still having more troubles with age.

Welcome to the club. Most of us have increasing problems with WED as we get older. Take a look around and see if there is anything that helps. Also, please feel free to post a note to ask a question or simply introduce yourself.

Today we welcome:

Barbara12051 - who needs information and support.
bsd2645 - who can't find a medication that works. Requip is problematic and only opiods seem to work fully. Difficulty finding a good understanding doctor.
rjSioux - who wants to learn about new treatments and share anything that helps coping.
FormerJimmyLegs - who suffers slee disruptions, has side effects from drugs, though feels that Folic Acid helps somewhat.
sandrah0pe - whose RLS/WED used to be only at night but now aftr 10 years is also during the day. Dealing with lack of sleep, and is overtired and miserable.
SeanC79 - who is suffering a lot of pain, disturbed sleep and social life.

Please read all you can, ask questions when you are ready, start a thread or join a thread. We are all sufferers and we do understand.

Please welcome

Concerned Mom, who wants to be better able to understand this condition so she can better help my son who suffers from RLS.

Take a stroll through the forum on Special Populations, where you will find quite a few discussions on Pediatric WED. If you do not find what you are looking for, please feel free to post a question or simply to add a comment.

and to

JLS, who has had many long nights when the prescription is not working well. Sometimes JLS almost dreads going to bed because of leg pain due to the combo of RLS and arthritis in knees.

Take a look around and see if you find anything that is beneficial. If you do not find what you are looking for, please feel free to post a question or simply to introduce yourself.
