Welcome to

kbrn63, for whom sleeping has been a challenge and sometimes problems occur in the movies or after sitting for a while.

Everyone here can certainly relate to all of those problems. Take a look around for whatever information might be useful to you. If you don't find it, please post a question or comment.

and to

swanbayer, whose WED occurs all day long. swanbayer was also diagnosed with Guillain Barre Syndrome 3 years ago and life has become a constant battle of trying to find comfort.

There are many of us whose WED symptoms can occur at any time of the day. Are you taking any medication for your WED? Please post a note and let us know a but more about yourself so that we can point you in the right direction for information and/or help.

and to

carmensandiego, who was diagnosed over 5 yrs ago, wants to learn from other's experience and share her own. Issues include staying at home in the evenings & a truncated social life. Sleep is also a challenge.

There area all common themes you will find here. If you do not find everything you are looking for, please feel free to post a question or comment.

Welcome to

Mattituck, who Ihas had WED for more than a year. Mattituck's condition is fairly severe, generally preventing me from getting adequate sleep. Accordingly, his quality of life and relationships with my wife and children are affected. He is taking gabapentin, Mirapex and Klonapin, which help somewhat, but the "creepy-Crawly" symptoms persist. His family doctor has suggested finding a specialist.

Please take a look around the various forums to see if you can find answers to many of your suggestions. If you cannot find something, please post a question or comment so that we can help.
Since one of your issues is finding a specialist, I think that you will find quiet a few discussion threads on that topic, which may or may not be useful to you.

Wednesday, March 11 - Continued

jillkyvig, who was diagnosed with RLS in 2001, after suffering with symptoms for many many years. She has been on Mirapex for most of that time and is experiencing a lot of problems with augmentation with a potential change to Horizant.

You should find a lot of information here about both augmentation as well as the use of gabapentin and Horizant. If you have any questions, please feel free to post them.

maryellenreed, who suffers with RLS and jerking and has not gotten much help from doctors, even those who claim to be specialists.

As you will see from reading of other member's experiences, you are not alone in your problems with doctors who do not understand WED/RLS. If you do not find the information you are looking for, or simply want to rant about your doctors, please start a new post.
