Please welcome
Tahoebarb, who has had RLS for years and is searching for help. Lack of sleep is affecting her during the day and she really does not want to take meds.
Take a look through the Physical Treatments and Non-prescription medications forums to see if you can find something that might help. Also feel free to post any new questions you would like addressed.
and to
Hebiejebies, for whom RLS has been a CURSE! Sitting, reading, sleeping, driving, theatre, airplanes, car travel have all become nightmares.
Take a look around to see if you can find anything useful. If you don't find what you need, please ask.

Welcome to
Hunter13, whose RLS/WED has affected life since childhood and now with age has only gone from bad to worse.
Take a look around to see if there is anything that you can use and then please feel free to jump into any discussions or to post a new question that interests you.
and to
monybabs, who has had RLS since early 40's and now also has polyneuropathy which is supposed to often come after RLS. It is getting worse with age and now more prescription medication is needed to control it.
We have several members who also have neuropathy, so you might try searching our past discussions for information. Also, please feel free to post a note telling us a bit more about your situation so that we can all discuss things that might help.
and to
dugasjohn, whose augmentation has brought him to a crossroads and now needs all the help he can get.
Take a look through the information in the Augmentation forum and then feel free to post a new note asking about whatever might help you out. Unfortunately, augmentation is an issue that many of have faced.
and to:
rharmon - who suffers from RLS. rharmon queried why it was necessary to state why he/she wished to join. This question is necessary in order that spammers may be weeded out.
We hope you find useful information, possibly starting with the Just Joined section. Please ask any questions and we will try to help.

Re: WELCOME NEW MEMBERS - AUGUST 2015
Busy day today... wish is wasn't so, but grateful that we're all here to help each other.
Welcome to
thatgirlfromnj, who is looking for support and advice as the RLS symptoms prevent sleep and promoted tiredness during the day.
and
momsbaby, whose symptoms have gotten worse on medication.
and
crazyjoe, whose wondering about what meds to use and why certain things aren't suggested anymore when they used to be.
Do poke around. Post if you want to share. You may want to click on the link in below for a good place to start. And, momsbaby, do check out the information on augmentation.
and
ppadill35, whose medication no longer works and who has pain and difficulty sleeping almost every day.
Take a look through the forum on augmentation, you should find something useful there. Also, please feel free to ask any questions that might come to mind.

Welcome to
loulou2, who has had RLS for the past 15 years and is struggling with trying to get off of Mirapex completely and therefore is facing the challenge of a lifetime!
Take a look at the forum on Augmentation. You may find a few discussions that would be useful. You will also find a number of long threads on the topic of getting of of Mirapex in the Prescription Drug forum. And if you don't find what you need or you simply need to unload on someone, PLEASE post a note. Many of us know what you are facing.

Welcome today to
Lks, whose find that RLS/WED makes relaxation time miserable me and affects her family as well because it is no fun to sit or sleep with a squirming partner. Her parents also suffered from RLS/WED.
Also welcome to:
doodle - who has had rls/wed for 15 years and it is getting worse, meds are no longer effective.
DuncanClark1 - who has had rls/wed for 12 years on a daily basis. Is getting little sleep with anxiety, depression and fatigue. Feeling that no one understands.
Take a look through our discussions to see if you can find something useful, starting with "A good place to start" at the top of this forum. If you don't find everything you need, feel free to post a note asking your questions.
doodle in particular - consider looking up augmentation.
DuncanClark1 - The sufferers on this site know only too well how a non-sufferer finds it difficult to understand rls and how it effects so much of our lives.

Welcome to
rebartrees, who says that RLS makes it difficult to get a good night's sleep without relying on some medication.
That is true for most of us, some more so than others. Take a look around and see if there is anything useful to you. If you do not quickly find what you are looking for, then please post a note asking your question.
