Monday, Nov 23 - we welcome myriam61.

myriam61 has had symptoms for 20 years - it's been much better since on ropinerole for the last couple years. Other people just don't understand how bad it can be.

Glad to hear ropinerole is helping you. If you are not familiar, please learn about augmentation. It hopefully will not happen a long time, but it is likely it will happen eventually. The more you know, the better prepared you can be!

Welcome today to

mjenni27, who has had RLS for years. Some nights the RLS prevents sleep because of pain and the need to walk around until she is too tired to stay awake. She finally turned to a doctor for help and doctor refuses to treat with any meds, only homeopathic.

You need to find a new doctor. Take a look around, especially search for the discussion threads that talk about ways to find doctors "who get it". Finding a doctor who is familiar with the correct treatment of RLS can be a major challenge. If you don't find what you are looking for or need anything else, please feel free to post a note with any questions.

Sunday - 29th - welcome to:

tgk1966 - who has tried many things and is currently taking 4 mg ropinerole extended release and 600 mh gabapentin and gets about 6 hours of sleep per night.

Hope you find what you need here, tgk1966. I suggest you read about augmentation if you are not familiar with it. That's a high dose of ropinerole by today's standards. Many doctors are 5-10 years behind the docs that are at the top of the field in terms of research - these top docs suggest a max dose of 1 mg ropinerole, if my tired brain remembers correctly.
